Wow, way to put me down.

I agree it dangerous, but sometimes the fun is in the danger. Why else would people skydive, or race cars?

How did I put you down?
Sure, the danger is a part of the thrill. I understand that. But there is a difference. With parachutes, they are professionally packed so that the probability that they open greatly outweighs the probability that they don't. With race cars (professionally, anyway), the drivers are seasoned pros, and most often know exactly what they are doing. The chance of something happening is there, of course, but it is minimized as much as possible, as with the zoo. The difference in such a case is that you don't have roll-cages, helmets, flame-retardant suits and a few tons of metal surrounding you to protect you from injury. Not to mention you are stepping into the domain of an animal who, in a split second, can literally rip your chest open.Quote:

I have no problem if someone over say 15 wants to do this as they "hopefully" know of the potential danger.. but I don't think little kids should be allowed in to sit/pet/etc. wild animals. Little kids might accidentally move too quickly or squeal or something and irritate the animals into attacking them. :(
.
And so we learn fom the mistakes of others. Just wanted to add (too late to edit) that my second post wasn't completely serious/meant to be taken seriously. I still stand by it somewhat though. However, even though I'd be willing to take the chance, I would NEVER take someone else with me, especially a child, because that's wrong in SOOO many ways.
I'd have to fly all the way to Argentina for that?? :(
**adds a line on 'list of things to do'**
But the best part...
I lol'd, because humans are the most dangerous predators in the world. It amazes me when he have huge news stories on, say, a shark attack, when we kill thousands of them every year.Quote:

I want to pet the cheetah.
