Hey guys,
So I've decided to make a 100 minute binaural track based on
an EEG readout of a normal sleep cycle.
I've started with the undertone ( F - 349.23hz )
Then I started the first Alpha clip at 13hz above that ( 362.23hz )
then 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7... all the way down through Theta into Delta
at 1hz difference. I then oscillated the patern as follows:
13 for 1 second, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
I am looping this one for about five minutes or so then next:
12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.
I'll loop this for another five or so going all the way down as follows:
11 -> 6 -> 10
10 -> 5 -> 9
9 -> 4 -> 8
8 -> 4 -> 8
I will then loop the last ( 8 -> 4 -> 8 ) for a while then throw in
some 9s and some 4,3,2, or 1 randomly to simulate sleep spindles
and k complexes. They will get gradually more frequent and longer
until finally I will oscillate between 4, 3, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4 to simulate
delta sleep. I will then go back up to, hopefully, bring the listener
into REM.
I just tried a short segment of the NREM-2 simulation and it sounds
promising. Reminds me quite strongly of hypnagogic tones.
I'll upload some screenshots and some sound clips when I finish.
