When is the BEST time to eat Apple Juice an eat a banana?

I'm trying to boost my recall/lucid dreams, but I don't know when the best time is to drink Apple Juice and eat a banana also. If I drink it now and go to bed in two hours, won't it waste the effect? Or does the "chemical" release a few hours later?

So, when is the best time to drink AJ and eat a banana, making sure that it starts working in REM so I won't waste it?

I always drink a glass or two of apple juice right before bed. Basically, as I am laying down for sleep.

I usually fall asleep quickly, so I drink some apple juice an hour before bed, sometimes half an hour.

Alright, thanks! I drank apple juice about 2 hours before bed, then again at 30 minutes before. I noticed I wasn't falling asleep fast, also I didn't have much recall. Probably why, though.
