For a consumer device the number of electrodes and the fact that they're disposable I think is a huge hurdle to adoption.
This project is now live on Kickstarter. I'm backing.

I think the iBand+ is a better bet. Not sure about all those electrodes and brain stimulation.
Proven? Proven by whom? Has a new study (Voss is flawed, search for threads here on DV explaining why) been published?
Multiple, disposable EEG electrodes makes it a total disaster as a mass-market, personal electronic device.Quote:

The device is on target to reach the funding goal, based on the current trend two days in. As FryingMan has already pointed out I don't think the Voss report is enough to base a reliable dream-induction method on. I'm worried about the safety aspects too.
I wonder how many of the results given are down to the placebo effect? It may turn out to be an expensive gimmick or toy, until proven otherwise?
Last thing. There is no bottom level or 'Thank You' tier for backing. Therefore you will only get the diehard supporters or those easily won over by slick campaigns for want of a better phrase.
You cannot simply back €5 and put a serious comment or question the creator openly which is a pity.
This one looks particularly bad and slimy given the cost tiers and feature limitations at the "lower" (but still quite expensive) levels. iWinks sucks at running their campaign and communication but it does look like they're producing something at least, maybe the appearance of iBand+ with their successful campaign will get iWinks off their butts and get to finishing and shipping. If they don't get to market soon enough, they may not have the only LD EILD device in town when it hits the market at last.
Thanks! Will do. I see it when you click via the green button. Good job I didn't spend €297 then. :)
However it will definitely fund - on the basis of a single report.
