Melatonin+Tryptophan+B6 = yum?
Since an increase in serotonin creates vivid dreams, and better recall it would be of benefit to take some before bed. But you cannot simply eat serotonin because it does not cross the blood-brain barrier, But the amino acid tryptophan is metabolized within the body into serotonin, and vitamin b6 is a catalyst to the whole tryptophan to serotonin thing. So if you have a large tryptophan and B6 intake you would yield a higher level of serotonin.
Now melatonin is produced within the body and released when the retina detects darkness. Melatonin makes you sleepy, and also somewhat influences your sleep, and REM periods. It shortens REM cycles, but makes them more intense since less REM time would yield more results in the lesser time.
Now what would happen if you took melatonin to get sleepy, less REM, and more vivid dreams, IN COMBINATION to tryptophan and vitamin b6 for an increase in serotonin, which yeilds vivid dreams and better recall?
I think we need some answer.
Im going to buy the nessecary supplements soon and try this out for myself.
