Hmm...well, as random of a post as it was, I do also love Emergen-C. But I don't use it as a daily supplement. I use it more for when I feel like I'm coming down with something. It is great for helping you kick a nasty cold or something along those lines.
I don't like too much Vitamins C, gives me diarrhea. Think I must get enough already. Maybe if they had one without Vitamin C it would be good.

Only problem I see with Emergen-C is that for most supplements, we usually take a lot more than the recommended daily values. Vitamin B6 for example. Most lucid dreamers would take anywhere from 50 to 200mg as a supplement. The recommended value, according to the multivitamins lying right next to me, is 2mg. We are looking at needing 2500%, assuming you take supplements conservatively.
I'm not familiar with any other supplement dosages, but I expect you'd find similar stories.
Yeh, for B vitamins I think most are in the microgram range. I know B12 is.
But I think more is just good for LD'ing. For everyday life more doesn't make you any healthier. Of course different kinds of people need different amounts of everything. But not 2500% more.
I think eating properly is much better than supplements. They are absorbed more readily by the body when eaten in food. Hell, it's not like you could just eat every supplement pill on the shelf everyday and survive.

Yea, the 2500% only applied as a LD aid. Usually when 2mg is listed as the 100% daily dosage, it means that for normal functioning you need 2mg, nothing more.
The thing about taking excess B vitamins is that they're water soluble. Whatever you don't use you'll pee out. Then again, I don't know if you could pee out 2500% of it. Still isn't nearly as bad as something like iron that sticks around for a while.
As for Emergen-C.. I hate that stuff. It tastes alright, but the fizz is just gross.
As for the niacin, you may not want 100% of every vitamin. I'm not exactly sure why it's only 50%, but it may be that you should already be getting plenty in your diet.

Inconclusive but I just slept from 10:30-1:30 (after getting four hours of sleep the night before). I had 'vivid' dreams, meaning that they were relatively coherent and logical, had a solid visual component, included sounds (engines revving, etc.), smell, and I had a sense of touch (pain).
I became lucid during two of the dreams, both by suspicion which were confirmed by reality checks (but they were very low level lucids :()
Surely no results can be drawn from something like this. But... yea I'm gonna keep it up :tongue:
