3rd Lucid dream - First MILD!

I went to bed last night saying "I will be conscious and aware in my dreams. I will lucid dream." and sure enough I had my 3rd lucid dream, and my first MILD! It was eerily similar with my first experience though . Last I remember, it began in my kitchen and I had an urge to look at my hands and do a reality check (probably from the mantra) and my right hand seemed normal from the dark but my left had a funny little finger that happened to be just filthy hahah. I realized I was lucid and focused on my hands to stabilize the dream, on that one dirty little finger :D. I then decided to run and jump through my kitchen sink/window above it which would take me outside into my court but I had doubt as I neared it (Who wants to risk running into a wall if you aren't dreaming...?) and bounced off of it in kind of slow motion. After that I decided I wasn't lucid because I didn't go through it and lost it and don't recall anything after that.

This happened to me before, not my first LD but before that (actually the day before). The same thing where if one little thing didn't work I seemed to just completely give up on the entire LD.

But trust me, I have learned my lesson! Haha and I will be 100% assured of what I do next, although I think i'll take the front door next time ;).

At first I felt a little frustrated that this happened again -- especially after looking forwards to a LD all week, but they seem to come fairly easy to me seeing that I had no idea about lucid dreaming 2 weeks ago. I think it is my determination. Anywho, I thought of it in a different way, was I glad that I had even a small LD as compared to a normal dream? Of course! I would take this simple MILD over a random non LD any day ^,^.

Last night was also the first night that I have remembered 4 dreams... 4 in depth dreams, 1 being the MILD. It is quite crazy how upon waking up you can remember nothing, but just by laying and thinking slightly dreams can or will just come back to you into your head and you can remember them in full depth or not.... So excited!

I must overcome this whole "if one little thing doesn't work because you are scared of it, you must not actually be dreaming" I didn't stop to think at the time that after bouncing off the window/sink that it didn't hurt... oh and the fact that I rebounded.. :lol:

Awww sad that you lost your lucidity! You shouldn't doubt in dreams! Don't take the front door, just take an apple, throw it against the wall so it explodes and tears the wall down with it! ;)

Anyway Awesome and congrats to your 3rd lucid dream! You even started trying Lucid Dreaming recently so it is even more awesome haha :D! For me it took a while for getting my third lucid dream, when I was older already! Nice work and keep on going!

Something I did once that was extremely easy. I had 4 FAs in a row, and I was sick of the time that it took to get outside. So I tried to jump in the mirror, and failed :P. After that I look at the hallway and two rooms I need to get through to get outside. I did a slow 360 while I was in the doorway and when I returned, the hallway had disappeared and I was standing in the door near the living room. I spun again slowly and when I finished I was standing at the front door and walked outside.

OH! and congrats! If you read EWLD, Stephen Laberge talks about how you need to come to that realization that LDing is easy, all it is is realizing that you are dreaming. There are tons of techniques to do this, but that is all you need to do. Confidence is great. I like to look forward throughout the day to the fact that I am going to be LDing tonight. :) it is going to be amazing.

Lucky. I still haven't gotten my third lucid dream yet, but hopefully i will.
