I've recently just been allowing lucid dreams to happen i.e not trying to control or change anything in the dream. Normally when I become lucid I instantly start trying to do stuff and this often results in lack of awareness and vividness and so I've decided to just let the dream happen and to just casually observe. I must admit it's been quite the experience and so many weird and interesting things have happened.
In a recent dream I was in the local shopping centre and I noticed a friend of mine but for some reason I felt compelled to hide from him. Realizing this was an unusual thing to feel I became aware that it was a dream. I didn't react. I kept on walking forward until I came to a car. I looked down and noticed I had some keys so I let myself in. Now I don't drive in real life so I always feel odd behind the wheel of a car. Suddenly a guy got in the passenger seat and I found myself getting a little annoyed. However when I saw his face I realised he was pretty good looking so I let him stay in my car lol. He told me his name was Shaun and we were meant to be going out on a date. Again I figured i'm only here to observe and not control so I went on a date with Shaun but the rest of the dream is quite hazy.
So far it seems all of my lucid dreams that I just let happen result in something sexual or meeting good looking people. Perhaps that just says something about my subconscious lol.
I've really enjoyed this and will continue to just observe my dreams as they happen. I've met interesting characters whilst doing this as well. It has also prolonged my lucidity as I haven't been trying to control it and it's allowed me to get used to the feeling of being lucid.
