Couldn't agree more. I really dont think the experience you had fall into the Lucid Dream-category, since you were frightened, had no control whatsoever, etc.

I've had similar, perhaps not as strong and longlasting dreams before, but they were either caused by fever or from the aftermath when me and the boys have been drinking/smoking in 4-5 days in a row with little sleep, and when I finally lie in my bed with hangovers you wont believe, then I have these kind of surreal feverish dreams, that I have absolutely no control over (and they can get really creepy and feel unmistakingly real).


So my point is; don't give up on LD's since your experience had nothing to do with them!

As Dream View's resident epileptic, let me comment on these two things.

Closer to the truth, yeah you feel completely depleted after a seizure, like you've just run a marathon while repeatedly hitting yourself in the head with a hammer. I doubt the experience in question involved a seizure - although they do come in several forms. I often twitch, sometimes for a short while, when I wake up - but the drugs kick in before it becomes out of hand.

Wow, that sounds insane. Well, I&#39;ve read for countless hours about both LDing and near death experiences, and this sounded a LOT more like the latter. Maybe it was an epileptic seizure or something, but the time distortion, and selfless hell sounds a lot like a couple of the NDE experiences I&#39;ve read (although a lot more gloomy). That&#39;s really hard to explain away for me, cause a bad nightmare usually doesn&#39;t feel that long. I&#39;d say keep your spirits up, whatever it was it wasn&#39;t the LD that was at fault, maybe you had some sort of crazy astral experience. I say you should write it down in as much detail as you can (or use the post), and see what people with more experience with astral projection/OOBEs/NDEs have to say about it, it&#39;d sure be an interesting case. Good luck whatever you choose, but I hope you stay posting and try to LD again, maybe you could be onto something strange, especially if that happens again.

I still think you were just conscious during the sleep period. If you eventually die from LDing, then don&#39;t come in here and blame me&#33;

That dosn&#39;t sound like a LD it sounds more like a sighn that a vist to the doctor or a catscan is in order.

Okay, firstly, as most other people said don&#39;t give up lucid dreaming&#33; These things can happen occasionally, especially early on, but really don&#39;t continue after some practice.

Anyway, I would agree with the theory that you were just moving like that because you (mentally) thought you had not moved for 10 days. There wouldn&#39;t be any physical problems, though. Just completely because of the extended time of no movement you experienced.

as we are on the subject of kingdom hearts, and if it really is one of your favorite games then why stop lding the first one isalways tough, in mine i tried i was stuck in this mansion so i tried to chanmge the area then all these people surrounded me and trapped me but i carried on and recently i actually fought sephiroth with the ultima weapon, and to beat me he summoned an army of shadfow sephiroths, and isnt that something that you would like to do, enter the disney worlds, ive been to a few the lion king world the little mermaid woprld and the alladdin world, and believe me thats not something that you would want to pass up, so keep on trying and believe be they will get better and more exciting...

perhaps the loneliness that you suffered was your fear, are you in a realtionship of any kind as it could have represented that, or just rooted from fear, next time you dream think of something to wake yourself up, something you long for that your life couldnt be complete without, and persuade your mind to do your bidding, force it, control it, the mind is a wonderfull thing and i know that your experince may have been frightening but you must forget this, if not then you will be controlled though your dreams forever, you must find a way to fight it and as cheezy as it sound your light or key as used a few pages ago, also a big fan of kh but practisce finding your source and image whatever it may be no matter how silly it sounds but someone or something to guard your dreams.

I once had a lucid where I went through a mirror and ended up in a white void that contained endless webs of red and green. I looked all around with nowhere to go, and it actually scared me because I thought I might get stuck. But I quickly told myself I&#39;d backtrack, so what I did was start moving backwards not looking back, saying I&#39;d go right back through the mirror I came through, and very shortly after I started moving I ended up back in the location of the dream where I went through.

Your experience sounds scary. I&#39;d definently be freaked. Time does get diluted in dreams, and it sucks when it happens when you are in intense fear (which I&#39;ve experienced during Sleep Paralysis many many times when I was younger). But 10 days is insane... I&#39;ve felt an hour... but 10 days :shock: :shock:

I&#39;m sorry you misunderstood me. I didn&#39;t mean that it wasn&#39;t a lucid dream, i merely said, that you could have gone to that white void-thing in a regular dream too.

By the way, this could have also been a message your subconscience was trying to tell you. If you do have another LD, try asking your subconscience what the meaning of that one was.

Basically, after re-reading it, when you created the new world bit by bit and were so happy with it, before waking up, then the purpose of the dream might have been to show you that you always have control and can make a difference.
