In my first LD i ate some strawberries, they tasted sweet and nice :)
This night in a regular dream I ate some liquorice candy, and it had a very strong taste, but I wanted the salty fish liquorice though :p
Dream food is usually pretty good. Sometimes eating things that shouldn't be eaten can be strange. I had bbq wings last night in a non-lucid and they were pretty awesome. I recommend donuts, which are fantastic.
Hm. Makes me wonder if there's a difference for all the sensations that you can perceive. Umami wasn't nearly as fantastic as Sweet was...
hahahah good for you Specialis Sapientia! i never eat reagular food in my dreams... i eat like paper and rock and they always taste SOOOOOOO good
I was dreaming that a lady had to get rid of a sanndwich (I was not lucid) so I took it, then latter at her house, I rolled it up, and it looked like a penise, and I ate the whole thang in like 2 seconds.. weird..
I had a non lucid dream where I went to heaven and ate this huge feast. I remember eating fish.
Next lucid, I'm gonna have the biggest lunch I've ever had  !
the the things i eat in dreams taste amazing but sometimes i eat foods that arent real but i think they are in the dreamm and is the worst taste ever i had a reaccurring nightmare about this 1 jawn i ate
I eat weird things in my dreams. Once when I was six, I dreamt I was in the bathroom and there was a pile of hamburgers in the bathtub that I was trying to eat. More recently, I dreamt I was in a craftstore eating some fake decorative fruit. It had a funny kind of taste that I can't quite describe.
I've been vegetarian for a year, but I sometimes dream about eating meat. During the dream I keep asking myself wtf I'm doing. When I wake up I think, "Damnit! I've ruined my diet!" In one dream I told someone I wasn't vegetarian anymore when they offered me some bbq, and in another I justified eating chicken by saying it would just be that once. For some reason, if I saved it for the next day I wouldn't be vegetarian anymore.
Once I was in "heaven," and god was having a big bbq, but it was all vegetarian food. I remember Christina Applegate was there and ate a gallon of ice cream, but I don't think I actually ate.
Another time I had a dream that I was napping in a store cosmetic aisle, and then I woke up and was surrounded by several pink boxes of donuts. I ate a ton, and then woke up feeling disgusted with myself. I usually feel disgusted after this. I hate food dreams.
I think I just dream about eating things I wouldn't eat in reality.
Why are you passing up the scissors? They beat paper in taste (but not really rock). :boogie:
The only dream I remember eating food in was probably in an unfamiliar school cafeteria where I ate a bunch of cauliflower and lilac flowers on my tray (or maybe just food that looked like yellow lilac flowers). I don't remember much taste in them. However, once I had a dream where I could vividly smell oatmeal cooking on the stove, and it smelled nice. No oatmeal was being made when I woke up.
As long as I won't feel tortured by not physically filling my stomach with the food, I'd like to try it out in an LD.
I've had mixed results with eating
There were times when the food was incredible beyond words, and times when the food was pretty bland, or totally tasteless.
The food I ate had nothing to do with hunger so I wasn't hungry at the time
or did I feel full afterwards. I only ate things out of curiosity and drank a
tasteless beer once as well. The things I ate were inedible and were all
mostly crunchy and tasteless. Only twice did I have any taste and that is
when I ate the color red....it was chewy and sweet. Then when I ate the dog's
bark's, they were crunchy and tasted oniony. Now that youve mentioned it, I have
to see what happens if I eat real food because I am hungry, while LDing.
Another thing to try. :D
Oh....I have eaten real food in non-lucids though. And that is always satisfying
and delicious, Ive noticed over the years.
I love eating in dreams.
The best grapes I ever had were in a dream.
Plus duck tape tastes really good.
A few nights ago I had a LD that I was at a big party. Some DC's dad brought a truck-load of the best barbequed ribs I've ever had. I woke up craving them! While it is often incredibly yummy, I don't find my cravings satsified by them. Dreaming about good food just makes me more hungry when I awake.
I agree that random inedible objects can be yummy in dreams. Such as a glass basketball backboard, blankets, sunsets, toys, etc.
Once in a non-lucid, I had a rainbow colored cake. Best cake ever.
I haven't read through the whole thread, but dream eating has enabled me to lose weight.
Sometimes the food I eat in dreams is bland, sometimes its delicious. When I'm trying to lose wieght, and cut down on the junk food, I indulge in it if I have lucid dreams. Keeps my cravings in real life to a minimum.
My first ever LD (before I knew what they even were) was one where I was in the supermarket by myself, and I just went nuts eating everything. Tasted really good.
Strange thing was, a being that shapeshifted between a man in a cloak, a writhing figure of intertwined snakes and some sort of dog told me that I had abused my power to dream, and that I would "never be able to do this again," and I promptly woke up.
Oh, I still eat stuff all the time in dreams. I think I called his bluff haha...Quote:
That's a bit freaky. It's like he kicked you out. You should try to "abuse" the power again and see if he shows up.
[QUOTE=Wolfsbane;950464]How do you eat a sunset? xD
It was kind of weird. Just opened my mouth and sucked it inside. The sunset kind of peeled away, like it was just a photo and got sucked into my mouth. Yummers! Sweet, kind of citrus flavored, and spicy!
