Dreamt I was WILDing
I had the weirdest dream while I took a nap today. I hadn't fallen asleep for about an hour and then in my dream, I was sitting at my desk like I normally do and my roommate walked in and was talking to the girl across the hall and said something about the line at the food place being long. I kind of drifted off and then all of the sudden my body went numb, and I slouched deep into my desk chair like SP was comming over me. Then I started to have what I think was a WILD (within the dream) even though i have never successfully done a real WILD I saw an image of a person on a bed forming so I tried to move my dream within dream hands and ended up moving my real life hands and woke up.
I don't think it was a lucid dream because I only passively recognized that I was attempting to WILD but I was only dreaming that it was happening. The thing is, this was more vivid and memorable and I felt the SP better than my other lucid dreams that I have had. What just happened? Was it lucid or not and any explanations?

I have done this before :D In fact, it was when I did the december task!

Wow, that sounds disorienting. It is as if you had three layers of awareness. Yourself in the dream, the image of yourself in the dream, and your real body in bed. Next time you get something like that, lie completely still in bed with your eyes closed and try to slip back into the dream DEILD style.

Yah the thing is that I was not lucid in the dream before WILDing, so do you think that by getting out of my "dream WILD" I would have been aware of my regular dream? I might have had to view myself at my dream desk as a false awakening or something and force a RC... so confusing lol

I just created a post about this last week

I dreamt that I was going into SP and then a WILD...it was very weird but it turns out a lot of people experience this

This makes me wonder at the more general question of how much of our WILDs actually happen in a dream. I know for a fact that I'm often wrong about when I transition to a dream. Sometimes I will think my WILD failed, only to stand up and realize I slipped into a dream without knowing it. Or the opposite will heppen. I will have all the sensations of my WILD succeeding, only to find I've somehow woken up.
Does it matter if you have a dream where you go to sleep and have a lucid dream? As long as you reach your goal, I would say it counts regardless of the journey.
