You'd have to define the head bulging out part. Never had that happen. I've had instances where the dream just breaks apart for me, like it fades out, and then I lose the dream. There are techniques for re-aquiring a loose-knit LD, but they do not work for everyone. -Torch
Too much outer awareness will kill it too.. I notice if i feel whats going on around me.. focus is extremley hard to keep, and it spins out.
Head bulging is a new one.. maybe you're about to have a stroke?
From the title do you mean you had a panic attack on your first LD? I think that happens to alot of people, I had 2 the first time I tried a technique and I was soooo scared, I panicked and lost it in seconds then I came back in and ran down the hallway flipping lightswitches because it was dark and it wasn't working, I had a sippie cup in my boxers for some reason lol :rolllaugh: The next one should be better, I think the first time it's just such a new experience, it's like the first time you went on those little kid rollercoasters or something similar when you were a little kid and freaked out and cried, or kindergarten lol :o
