I can't honestly remember my "first" lucid experience, but I do remember ending my first reoccurring nightmare as a child through a random LD. Ever since then, I have been able to initiate lucid awareness during a "bad" dream...although sometimes it takes until the end of the dream to realize that I'm dreaming.
I still have reoccurring dreams/nightmares, but after researching the topic of LDs I have realized that I can use certain repeating aspects as "signs" to initiate a lucid experience.
As InTheMoment I had my very first "lucid dreams" as a kid when I realised that I can wake myself up from a nightmare. After I heard about lucid dreaming, and started trying, it took about 1-2 weeks to get my first lucid dream (pretty crappy one though).
I had my first LD the firs day I learned about them and I wasent even that interested. My brother just mentioned lucid dreaming I just kind of ingnored him, and that night I had one. Probably I have them so easily because Im autistic and autistic people are very sensitive in certain ways like I sence things realy easily and have ESP more than most people. Because my brain works differently than other people.
It took me around 1 Month and 8 days. It might've come sooner if I hadn't been neglecting my Dream Journal but it was very rewarding to know that a month's worth or work had finally paid off. Not only that, but 3 days after my first LD was my second!
I think it took me about 1 or 2 weeks from when I first came to dream views, which was about the second day after I heard about LDs
it takes almost 2 month 4 me... :?

I had my first LD when i was ten years old. That was before I knew about lucid dreaming though.
Since i discovered this site it took me about 1 month to have my first LD.
since myjoin date is in nov, im guessing about 5 mins since thats when i started trieing to ld or a bit before my join date.((had a ld last night :D)
I first saw and signed up to this site 6 days ago. I had my first Induced Lucid Dream last night. :D
