I am actually reading Anton LaVey's Satanic Bible now, I ordered it from amazon. I am only on the book of Lucifer but I shall return with news once I have finished it.

The Satanic Rules of the Earth are an unscriptural heresy!
I do not know if they are general commandments or just rules for ordinary social interaction. But if "not giving opinions or advice unless you are asked" is a generalised rule that applies to everything then it effectively commands people to keep their knowledge within. Is that really something we need nowadays with so many idiots in charge?
I could get into Satanism. It's so refreshing and practical compared to all the other hippie bullshit out there. I really resonate with that 11th commandment:
"When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask them to stop. If they don’t stop, destroy them." Lol, don't mess with a Satanist!
Even the sins are pretty good: (Wikipedia's links, not mine, I just copied and pasted)
- Stupidity
- Pretentiousness
- Solipsism
- Self-deceit
- Herd Conformity
- Lack of Perspective
- Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies
- Counterproductive Pride
- Lack of Aesthetics
Surely you know what it's like to talk to someone about dreaming who isn't at all interested and you get "that face". It's a mistake people here on DV quickly learn not to make out there in the real world.

Haha... Some of their ways are actually good, but some, they are bad, which is expected. The only thing I didn't expect is how there are some good aspects to it. (i.e. Do not harm little children, etc.)
Well, I guess I learned something new today.
I'm joining a satanism discussion board. I like their no tolerance attitude towards stupidity.
I think I'll get the satanic bible as soon as I can afford it :P Sounds like an interesting read, probably just an edited Christian bible:

Apparently sloth isn't a sin in satanism. I've been waiting three days to get my account approved, and still no response. I can't wait to get in there. It seems like a paradise, discussion wise.
They have no tolerance for people who won't do their own research, trolls, stupid people, self deluded peace and love hippies, the ignorant types of skeptics. People who make stupid posts or have nothing relevant to contribute, they show no mercy at all.
Check out this thread "Reasons I got Banned". They are so ruthless I love it!

Bad posts can even get the title beneath your username changed to troll or idiot. This site could learn a thing of two from them. Maybe we could hire them to do security around here, like the hells angels at woodstock.
And why, exactly, is that expected, when you obviously have absolutely no prior experience with Satanism at all?
And I'd like to know which of "our ways" are "bad," precisely - and how.
Interesting read? Sure. Edited Christian bible? Hardly - that wouldn't make us Satanists, but rather yet another sect of Christianity.Quote:

Yes, 600 Club. It's a parody. If 7 is a "holy" number, and the 700 Club is structured around Christianity, and 6 is 1/3 of the "number of the beast", then the 600 Club would be structured around Satanism. Seems pretty simple to me.Quote:
600 club?
Giving your opinion on a matter without first being asked is, quite simply, just straight-up rude.Quote:

Ha! Sorry, thought you were asking what it was. Misunderstood. I'm a member there, as well.
Remember that there are multiple facets of Satanism. The one you guys are referencing and saying, "Hey these commandments, etc. aren't so bad!"; that's LaVeyan Satanism (started by Anton LaVey), which has nothing to do with devil worship, or worship at all. In fact, they don't believe in any deities. To them, 'Satan' is a just metaphor for human's inner instincts/desires.
