What is "aethiest"? lulz
I hate how people always get "buddhist" right and "atheist" wrong.
HAHA. I remember when omnious deus tried to make a thread like this and everyone started arguing. His classifications were much different though and there were only 3.
I don't really identify with any religion, though I have intrests in zen buddhism, discordianism and thelema. I don't really adopt the views of these groups, but I do enjoy many of their practices.
Also you forgot the Jews.
Wunderbar. Now we wait, and see how close my prediction of 10 % christians is.
I'm guessing about 65% atheist, 10 buddhist, 10% agnostic, 10% other and 5% christian. We've flamed most of the christians away. Soon our mission will be complete. MUHAHAHA.
And atheist is still spelled wrong. LOL
As is Agnostic, Hindu, Judea-Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, and other.
Unless I'm missing some elaborate joke, that is.
It seems like the flaming never messed with them anywhere near as much as the stumping. They would complain about the flaming some, but getting backed into corners with questions they could not answer always happened immediately before long and permanent departures.
Apatheist, almost atheist. I consider the pursuit of believing or not believing to be irrelevant to daily life, and God, whether or not he exists, has no influence on daily life. "God did this," "God wills it," and similar arguments are invalid. One could easily replace the phrase "God" with "sky pixie" and get the same argument.
The skeptic in me refuses to accept most religious doctrine based the sheer incredibility of it. It cannot be objectively proven, which is why I often side with atheists.
I'm agnostic due to inexperience. I lean to the spiritual side of things but I have no specific beliefs ABOUT spirituality other than it is a subject I wish to pursue further.
Whether or not I find validations through experiencing altered states of consciousness is not really critical - either way I expect the experiences will be fascinating, and still useful on a personal level. Even should experiences of higher realities prove to be hallucinogenic, they will still procure valuable information about the state of my subconscious.
I believe god's existence could go either way. However I am positive that religions are not the path to god. If there is a god, he wouldn't care if I boned a girl before marriage, to me, he would be much more deep and mystical than that. Karma seems more likely to me.
I don't get what's with all these nearly-atheist-but-not-atheist people. Stop trying to have an opinion superior to everyone else. Neutral factions don't win any war, neutral factions are ignorant to war. Pick a side already.
I don't think I ever said I hate you, I just asked you why you are looking for a fight. This is a thread about stating what religion people adhere to and you came in talking about war and picking sides. Does someone holding their own opinion mean that they are trying to be superior?
Oh man...
The war thing was a friggin analogy. A fictitious example to make understanding easier. You think I'm actually talking about going to war? lulz
The "why do you hate me so much" thing was ironic, to show your speedy conclusions.
People trying to be superior by having views that are intentionally different from everyone else's is what I'm criticising. You were probably offended by this because I know you've done the same before.
Seriously, the worth of your opinion isn't measured by how eloquently you explain it.
Perhaps some of us should learn that.
