A few days ago I had a thought about lucid dreaming.
Apart from all the training going into lucid dreaming, there must be some other connection to having them.
So, What I want to know,(in as much detail as possible please) is...
1. Which out of the four classes would you class yourself as?
2. What is your main outlook on life? What you think life is, What is the meaning to life to you, What happens after death Etc.
3. What methods do you perform, And how well do they work for you?
4. What is lucid dreaming to you?(An illusion/A breakthrough in dreaming/A good way to have no rules fun/A good way to change yourself Etc.)
5. What foods do you eat during the day? (This can be as brief as you want,But is preferred to be in some detail :content: )
6. How lucid dreaming influences you in waking life. (Friends talking about lucid dreaming, Forums you visit, books, RC reminders, Thinking about it yourself Etc.)
7. Have you ever used hypnosis to induce lucid dreams? If so, How sucessfull was it?
8. How smart would you class yourself? (Logic wise, Academic wise, Dream wise)
9. Do you play games? If so, what games do you play, How often Etc.?

2.I'm a happy agnostic christian-ish who believes that there may be something out there but have not had enough experiences to really make up my mind.

1. "Lucid dreams every night."
2. I'm a church-faring Catholic, more out of habit than for any other reason; my parents stopped forcing me to go years ago. I believe in a Big Man Upstairs, and furthermore, I believe that He and I are on fairly good terms. I think that He placed each of us here to be pioneers of our own lives; we are in control of our thoughts and our actions, and therefore our own lives. The Man Himself will not interfere; He has placed us here as individuals, and He will only love each of us as much as we love Him back. I believe that death is the end of our existence as a conscious energy, and that every effort should be made to make peace with one's own mortality, above all else. I believe that the most pivotal element of humanity is free thought, and that one's worth is judged by how much they are at terms with their own thoughts; the content of the thoughts are not important, only their presence. On a more personal note, I am constantly seeking methods of enlightenment, and I firmly believe that I will come to terms with my existence before I die.
3. I'm naturally lucid when I dream; I also practice meditation-induced trances, which, for all intents and purposes, is a WILD.
4. At this point, lucid dreaming is a second life to me. When I first came off of my medication over a year ago, the entire experience was frightening and confusing. However, as the phenomenon developed, I began to feel like its absence would leave me with a diminished existence; lucidity is a means for prolonged meditation, introspection, and self-induced change.
5. To be entirely honest, I don't eat, nearly at all. I'll probably have about five "meals" a week, give or take, and they're hardly decent meals; usually some kind of cold ethnic food from someone's fridge. I have chronic headaches, and I believe that this prolonged loss of appetite is due to the headache medicine I find myself taking on an increasingly frequent basis. The staples of my diet, to be sure, are my beverages; although most of them are either water or sugar-free cola, my drinks usually provide 6-700 Calories per day, which is more than can be said for food.
6. I find myself censoring my everyday speech from references to my dreams; very few understand them, especially how emotional I get about them. Still, they affect my everyday life almost as much as real events do; I plan my course around them, and I constantly find myself thinking about them.
7. I use trance-inducing meditation, if that counts. If it does, the paralysis provided by the gesture allows for ample passage into an appropriate dreamscape for the situation.
8. Logic wise; not to be arrogant, but, when it comes to pure mathematical logic, there are very few who can match me, especially if age is a factor. I have always found myself naturally inclined towards linear thought, and the rigid scientific method is very comforting.
Academically; this is an entirely different matter. I have an uncanny talent to ace virtually any test handed at me, due to my mathematical, logical, and grammatical prowess. I learn almost everything upon first contact, as well, which usually puts me near the top of the class as far as knowledge of the content is concerned. However, my complete lack of work ethic and class participation puts me at the very bottom of my class, although I never allow myself to completely fail.
Socially; I have spent countless hours trying to analyze social mechanics, and I've been successful, to a certain degree; still, emotions and irrational thoughts continue to baffle me. I have a natural politeness and charisma that balances my sadistic and arrogant sides; I often use cynicism as my primary defense mechanism. Still, socially, I am a moron. I lack the empathy necessary to truly understand other people, and I probably always will.
LD Wise; the frequency of my lucid dreams have made them almost second nature to me; however, I have just begun to scratch the surface of the control and intensity that some have reached. I am actively seeking new ways to
9. I especially enjoy games of pure strategy, although I have been known to indulge in games of chance, sports, and video games, as it suits me. I am an extremely competitive opponent at times, although I usually don't appear as such.
10. Once again, I do so naturally; however, given how uncomfortable my few non-lucid dreams have made me, I would try very hard to avoid that feeling again.
11. Only this one; I try to refrain from using the internet repetitively.
12. To be honest, I don't know very much about it at all. I have extensively theorized about the phenomenon personally, and written at length about my experiences and their nature, but I have done very little research into LD canon.
13. My imagination is not very vivid, but my attention to detail and good memory allows many of my imagined scenes to have an aspect of realism to them; surprisingly, the situational details I most often leave out tend to be the major ones.

1. Some Lucid Dreams. It's only been two months since I started trying to have them, though.
2. I want one of two things in life: 1. To be better than everyone else, or 2. Everyone to leave me alone. That would be best case scenario, but I don't seriously expect either to happen. I tend to be agnostic... and I don't particularly care what happens in the next life.
3. I don't have a set method yet. I've been experimenting with WILD for a few weeks with no success so far.
4. Lucid Dreaming is another way for me to get ahead of everyone else, and a place where I can be alone and enjoy myself.
5. Meh, I'd say I have a pretty normal diet for a 17-year-old. I eat... pretty much anything that's presented, and I don't eat any particular food on a regular basis.
6. Dream Views is the only LD forums I visit, and I rarely discuss it off the internet.

8. I'd consider myself to be a very logical person, and I'm at the top of my class. With dreams... I know relatively little. On a social scale... I'd probably give myself a 2/10, though I've been told I'm pretty good at manipulating people.
9. Video Games are my favorite pastime, by far. I've probably played 10+ hours every week since I was 6 years old.
10. I'm pretty focused. I'd say my efforts are 7 or 8/10

12. I know quite a bit about psychology/the physical portion of sleep. I'm extremely inexperienced when it comes to dreaming, though... Anything about dreaming that you couldn't find in a standard textbook is probably unknown to me. (besides Lucid Dreaming, of couse)
13. Writing short stories is a hobby of mine - as such, I'd say I have a fairly active imagination. However... I ccertainly couldn't generate a party scene in great detail off the top of my head.

2. I believe we have reasons here, but they arent really clear to me... and after death, we get ressurected, or choose to remain wherever we go .... I'm still not entirely sure of what my outlook is :?

6. Well I found out not too long ago that my friend visits this site too.. it was awesome.. though im not sure what her screen name is here. Ive taken a more realization to my reality, and gotten deeper into thinking about the major questions.. and minor questions too... like if people didnt eat cheese and steak, would we have a need for cows? You dont see them roaming about in the wild now, do you?

Some lucid dreams....I think it comes out to about once a week or so, if you average it

I have a pretty positive outlook. I view it as just another stage that everyone is lucky enough to go through. When you die, your spirit roams around the earth or heaven for hundreds of years, and is eventually reborn.
3. What methods do you perform, And how well do they work for you?
FILD works fairly well, but I have a problem where I'll get stuck and won't be able to move. WILD, but I haven't really had any successes. DILD works the best for me, that's probably what 90% of my dreams are.

It's a way for me to explore my mind, have fun, and just do whatever I want to do. It's my perfect little escape from reality. I'm proud to know that I'm one of the minority that can lucid dream.

Bahahaha, more junk food than I'm happy of. Like burgers, fries,...and I drink milk.

Mainly I just visit this forum, and do my RC's. I have told a few of my friends but only one even seemed mildly interested in it, but I don't think she tried it. So I keep my happy LD thoughts to myself.

Almost genius, seeing as my IQ is 132. But I have a lot of dumb moments too, lol.

Not to the point that I strain myself, but I do try to have one every night.
