Day 2
Success?
Nope
Explanation
I woke up a couple of times during the night, but one I moved, forgot about DEILD, The other one, I wanted to write down a dream that somehow was vanishing from my mind.
Day 13: Nothing happened.
-CV
Day 4: no success
alarm: none set
Woke up after a dream at 4.5 hours in, but I was very uncomfortable and had to move around a lot. Tried to get back into the dream but fell asleep. Happened again at 6 hours in, but also no luck.
Week One In Review!
May 30 - June 5, 2010
Successful DEILDs = 1
Notes: Upon reflection, I seem to be decent at chaining in elements of previous dreams into new dreams. I see two underlying problems that I have to manage.
Problem 1: I don't remember waking up very often throughout the night. Usually I wake up once to use the washroom.
Possible solution: Set an alarm for 4.5 hours and make sure I get up and go. Use it as a typical "WBTB"/recall period.
Problem 2: Remembering the lucidity part :P One might think that's silly! What am I chaining for?! See, the problem is, when I do wake up, my focus turns to falling back to sleep and remembering some aspect of the dream. I forget the DEILD part because I'm hazy and sleepy. Dream chaining is actually quite a natural thing for me. Unless there's some blindingly obvious element from the previous dream (so far being Paul or Sailor Moon), then I forget that it's a dream I was just in as I'm falling back to sleep.
Possible solution: Not sure, to be honest. Perhaps a mantra to remind myself of lucidity when I wake up?
Day 9 – June 9, 2010
Success?
Sort of.
What happened?
I remembered (and was successful) to dream chain, but I forgot about the lucidity part :P
Day 3
Success?
No.
What happened
I went to bed around 2:30 am.... Magic The Gathering night :P. So I slept straight to wake up time.
Day 5: no success
alarm: none set
Woke up around the same times again, but lacked concentration and passed out.
Day 14: Chained my dreams successfully, but not lucid.

Progress!!
Day 10 – June 10, 2010
Success?
Yes…?
What happened?
I not sure what to call this. I guess it was a WILD, since I remembering slipping into a dream that WASN’T one I was dreaming before. However, I was watching it 3rd person. I remember thinking, “Okay, I’m in a dream… only… I’m watching a dream. What do I do with this?” and woke up again, and fell asleep again, without lucidity.
Day 4
Success?
No
What happened?
I was very tired and forgot to DEILD. I moved.
Day 15: Nada.

Day 11 – June 11, 2010
Success?
No.
What happened?
Not sure... I didn't move, I was thinking about the dream, but I couldn't slip back in. It took about 20-30 minutes to fall back to sleep.
getting behind a little, sorry.
Past days have been finals though so I've been going lightly on the DEILDs
Day 05
Success?
No.
What happened?
Moved too much and forgot about it.
Hell yes :DQuote:
I went to bed around 2:30 am.... Magic The Gathering night . So I slept straight to wake up time.
I've found that sometimes I wake up more clear in mind, whereas other times I wake up completely confused. It has obviously been easier for me to DEILD when I wake up with a clear mind.
Any ideas for why this is happening?
Day 6: no success
alarm: 5 hours after bed
Alarm woke me from a dream, but the dream was just so boring I couldn't get up any interest in reentering it and I went back unconscious.
Day 7: no success
alarm: none set
Went to bed drunk. Enough said.
Day 12 – June 12, 2010
Success?
No.
What happened?
Again, I woke up with a dream... didn't move, thought about the dream, didn't fall back to sleep. WTH? I'm beginning to wonder if I've been having false awakenings...
Swim meet next day, needed sleep.

June 13, 14, 15, 2010
Attempts halted because of work. I've only gotten 4.5 hours and 6 hours of sleep (on the 13th and today), respectively.
Day 16: Nothing, finals today, needed sleep.

Day 08-9-10
Success?
No.
What happened?
Early bird wake up, no attempt.
Hmm... I haven't been tracking my progress... same old same old, I guess.
Just today, I woke up from a dream and once again could not fall back to sleep straight away =/ I seem to be hitting those end of REM periods just nicely where I can't extend them.
