Ahhh, the beautiful Irony :) Claiming I am jealous. Now, first of all your are forgetting the fact that I can not even be, jealous because (as you will agree it seems) I really, really, really don't believe in your magical fairy dreams. Thus, the 'jealous' accusation comes from your 'certainty' you have something I want/should want, something better in a way. I claim you are sounding jealous because I very much doubt you can lucidly dream very well at all or have any decent experience. I have had more dreams than just that precog one... which I think you are aware of which is why I use the word jealously. Can you shapeshift in lucid dreams for starters?... like anotherwords what exactly have you done in lucid dreams and how often etc... This is why I use the word jealousy.. because almost everyone here seems to be.. learning and actually still bothering to count their lucid dreams. So yeah.. I will be so bold to use that word when I think its fitting.

Ahhh, even more lame :) This time it are off-topic-personal-attacks. :) Anyhow, I have the occasional lucid dream that I enjoy. I hardly put time in trying to lucid dream anymore, but am more then happy with just having 100 time the dream-recall I used to have. I am happy with the way I dream, I have no reason to be jealous. On the contrary, I am glad I am not so deluded that I think a magical being (your god) talks to me in my dreams. I know dreams are just random (and funny) things your mind makes up.

But what does it have to do with the conversation? I wasn&#39;t talking about lucid dreaming, I was talking about you hilarious belief that your god you see in your dreams is something more then your own imagination and self-fulfilling prophecy.

Lucid dreaming is a terrible example because it falls well within the realm of reality. There&#39;s nothing fantastical or magical about it, at least not in a supernatural way.

Also, it&#39;s not the issue of that these specific beliefs haven&#39;t been proven, but actually that they&#39;re nonsense and ridiculous and based on equally ridiculous "reasons".

You people humanize God too much. I have heard, "yea, well it says in the bible that God made man to be like him". Is that a cop out or what? That was just a way for primitive humans to explain why they were different that all the other animals. We "act" out of programmed responses to stimuli. Your friend hooks up with the girl you wanted, you get jealous. Such a mysterious being as God would not hold these qualities.

I guess my point is, stop trying to explain God on human terms. You know, we are not as smart as we think.

This is why i dont go around saying "if God loves us so much, why did he allow cancer to be here". Or aids, or starvation. We can never know why.

Claim: There is a 300 lb tiger in my room. It is about 6 feet long and of a yellowish colour.
Conclusion: This tiger does not exist. If it is a yellowish colour it must be visible. If it&#39;s 300lbs and 6 feet long, I would definitely see it. I do not see it in my room, therefore no such tiger exists in my room.

At a mere glance I can prove that this tiger does not exist.

Terrible examples. These things are founded on logic, are obserable and falsifiable. They are fully suppored by evidence and theories. They are the conclusions of scientists and not the works of some kid&#39;s imagination.

Wrong. I proved that the tiger didn&#39;t exist given the information. Part of the tiger&#39;s existence was its location. Stop posting.

Even if I couldn&#39;t disprove the tiger, it&#39;s still pretty obvious that the tiger isn&#39;t there. It&#39;s illogical for a tiger to be there. It has been observed countless times in the past that there is no tiger.

If you want another example, have this:

There is a teapot revolving around the sun. You cannot disprove that. Therefore, you must seriously consider that there is a teapot revolving around the sun.

That specific location IS a part of the tigers existence. I proved that a tiger does not exist in my room. Similarly, we can prove that god does not exist in our universe by considering only a few aspects of both god an the universe.

God is defined as
- All powerful
- All loving

Such a being would bestow his creations with no harm, suffering or pain. He has the power to. He must if he&#39;s all powerful. No loving person would willingly allow someone to die or come to harm when they have the power to prevent it. Anyone who&#39;s ever had a paper cut, stubbed their toe, broken a bone or died can tell you that this god does not exist in this universe.

I have disproven that given example of a god. I&#39;m not going to type out another explaination of why the fact that something can&#39;t be disproven isn&#39;t automatic grounds for it to be seriously considered.
