In Ocarina of Time, I believe the Silver rupees were worth 5 rupees like the blue ones, but you would have to collect 5 of them in a few of the areas of the Ice Cavern, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, & Ganon's tower in order to get further into the dungeons, but Silver rupees gained their value starting in Majora's Mask, & they still retained it in Wind Waker (And maybe in Twilight Princess)!
A little fact for Zelda fans: did you know that in the very 1st Zelda, Rupees were spelled like this: Rubies, but then in A Link to the Past for SNES, the name was changed!

I know...I remember that. Kind of like how in the Original Star Trek episode 45, a.k.a. "A Private Little War", the original name of Janos Prohaska's character was named the Gumato, but Shatner flubbed it, and said "Mugato", which has been the name ever since.
