In Ocarina of Time, I believe the Silver rupees were worth 5 rupees like the blue ones, but you would have to collect 5 of them in a few of the areas of the Ice Cavern, Shadow Temple, Spirit Temple, & Ganon's tower in order to get further into the dungeons, but Silver rupees gained their value starting in Majora's Mask, & they still retained it in Wind Waker (And maybe in Twilight Princess)!
A little fact for Zelda fans: did you know that in the very 1st Zelda, Rupees were spelled like this: Rubies, but then in A Link to the Past for SNES, the name was changed!
