And you're right about the socialised health care. Governmentally supplied health care is a TERRIBELY huge mistake. Too many people are snowed over by the feel-go sound of it but, make no mistake, it would be a huge turn for the worse.
Government is NEVER the solution for things of that - or just about any other - nature. Don't think that because countries like Canada have national health care that it works. It does not work. What is does is lower the standards, clog up the system, waste money and chase people with serious medical problems to seek help out of the country (e.g. America).
Remember, Liberalism (and by extension, the Democratic party) is about feel-good, sound-good rhetoric lacking substance and realism, NOT comprehensive, practical solutions. Liberalism is about gaining greater and greater control over the masses and their everyday goings-on. That is NOT and NEVER is the answer: to ANY problem a country faces. In fact, it's extremely counter-productive and serves only to take away rights and freedoms.
