I dunno if this is only about me but Spanish accents are not so different from each other (at least to my ears). I speak portuguese myself and I could always understand any spanish sentence prior to having any classes. Learning to speak it is compensatively harder though: you confuse similar words (which usually have different meanings) way too much.

Proper grammar combined with proper spelling equals a much nicer reading experience. With the prevalence of spell-checkers these days, it's not too much to ask to not be made to read, "dnt," "dissapoint," and, "tho," instead of, "don't," "disappoint," and, "though." Not to mention that for every spelling mistake, grammatical error, or uncapitalized proper noun, somewhere in the world a kitten is drowned.Quote:
