See the thing about these students over here is they do it because their parents force them to, not really because they have any interest in the subject matter. And secondly most people are taught to be afraid of math.. and there's a lot of math in there. But it's not necessarily killer, you just have to tell yourself that math isn't the worst thing in the world. :P

Hehe, that's kind of the opposite of here. We need really good qualifications to get into any science domain (engineering, medicine...), so that filters out most of the unmotivated people. The people who are influenced by their parents usually end up in law, psychology or some other program that's easy to get into... And as far as math goes, well, I speak the stuff :P (I actually freaked out a coulple of people in class today when I was doing calculus in my head).

What a contrast! Yesterday was frustrating and annoying. Today is pleasant, calm, serene, and very happy. It's amazing what a swift kick in the butt and a true reality check can do to one's attitude. Thanks to all involved: Juliette, Miss Tarrant, the wonderful people at the supermarket, that lady who was bleeding all over the place at the supermarket and my friends at work.
