I drink it on occasion. I've noticed no effects on my sleep or dreams.
Where can I get some?
Just look in the tea section of your local grocery store (preferably a large supermarket - drug stores and convenience stores might not have it). The brand I get is Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime, which is a chamomile-spearmint combo.
Even if it does nothing for your sleep, you can enjoy it for the taste and the sensual experience of sipping tea.
I just had a cup about 10 minutes ago and it's working already, my eye lids have gone really heavy.
I recommend this for anyone with sleeping problems.
It's my favorite tea. Not sure about effects on dreams but its very soothing.
yeah my mom has given it to me and my brother ever since i can remember it tastes great and it most definatly relaxes the nerves and gives you a nice soothing night sleep
I drink it when I have trouble falling asleep. It also helps me when my stomach hurts that time of the month. The problem for me is that it's so effective that I'm still sleepy for most of the following day, so I avoid it if I have work the day after.
Holy crap! I have to take Xanax for this to happen!
For me Chamomile Tea has proven effective for dreaming. Sometimes it induces a sleep which is too deep and I wake up not remembering anything. But other times it gives me amazing dreams, the greatest aspect of which is the vividness and recall.
I would recommend using Chamomile with a hypnosis CD/track, to induce WILD. Mainly because this would diminish the chances of not remembering any of your dreams because you would fall straight into one. There's great tracks on this forum for free.
I never wake up tired the next day, just relaxed, and it lasts for quite a while.
So probably you should just try it, there is absolutely no side effects which could be bad, at most you will be tired the next day as Line pointed out. But if so, you should just drink less but still infuse for 10 minutes, so all the Chamomile gets in.
Preferably get straight Chamomile Tea too, so nothing else messes with it.
The same thing happends to me, i can be sleepy the following day to.
last monday i drank a cup of tea and then went to sleep for about 1,5 H and set the alarm. when i woke up i noticed that the alarm had gone off for 30 mins ago and i have'nt even heard it. came late to my training and was very tired at the training to =/
I'm a tea fanatic!
I have so many different kinds of teas of all sorts. :D I recently made friends with the owner of a little cafe/bakery place here in town, and he said that he was gonna hook me up because they're going to Asia and getting like over 1000 different types of teas directly from the farmers!
Anywho. :D Chamomile is definitely my favorite tea. :D I actually just bought some because I've been out for a while. I know that it is so soothing on your stomach and calms you down. So, I might make me some tonight when I wake up to WBTB.
