Future Task of the Month Suggestion Thread

Note from PercyLucid: No worries, thanks a ton for fixing it and especially for so many suggestions!!


Find a tv and turn it on. If it works, try to get the people on the screen to have a conversation with you. If not, try to find a logical solution (plug it in, turn it back on, etc) until it works.

Create an island! Describe what lives on it and where it is, and whether or not it's a safe place.

Convince DC's that there's an apocalypse going on, and describe their reactions (apocalypse of your choice :p)

Give birth! What you give birth to is up to you. Describe your new child :)

Try to buy something from a DC just by offering what you have in your pockets, then empty your pockets and give them the contents (just saying "i'll give you what i have in my pockets for your shoes, THEN see what's in your pocket :p)

Try to alterate the universe into being two dimensional.

Ever wanted to be an actor? Find a movie set and get the main role! Describe the plot and your role.

Grow a tree with nothing but a seed or an acorn. Describe how it looks when it grows.

Make an inanimate object able to move! Try to get it to go on a walk with you, describe DC's reaction.

Try to play a sport with a DC! Any sport is fine.

Go to your local pound in the dream and steal as many cute lil puppies as you can!!!

Rob a store, shoot somebody, do whatever it takes to be on a full-on police chase. Try to escape the police.

Become a cop and arrest random DC's and tell them the crime they "committed". Describe their reaction.

Grow a third arm! Is it easy to use? Try to complete everyday tasks with three arms now!

Start a rebellion! Get as many DC's as you can to support your cause, and start a full-scale uprising.

Become president, and pass as many dumb laws as you can. What do your citizens think?

Go to a school and be a guest speaker at an assembly. What is your presentation about? Do the students like it?

Teach a DC how to lucid dream!

Control a DC with just your mind. Extra points if you're able to switch to their point of view. (see through their eyes)

Go to a sketchy part of town. Describe your experiences with the DC's.

Have a dinner with your favorite actor, artist, and sports player. Do they get along? What do you talk about?

Okay so this really isn't a task suggestion, but I have some thoughts. I really like the concept of having seasonal and holiday related tasks, but with this system it's kind of awkward. Maybe people can make seasonal/holiday suggestions and put at the end: (for October only) or (for Easter) or something like that? I'd like to know what you think Percy! :)

Yes, that is a great idea. We have had seasonal tasks in the past. I think this can work if people remember to post seasonal suggestions before the time for voting comes. We can add a little comment about this in the OP. :)

there was a "christmas carol" task where everyone got to visit the past, present, future. so, how about an "it's a wonderful life" one? find out how life of your family, and friends would be if you were never born?

I did this in my latest lucid dream. I fell backwards, through the floor, and ended up in the void. Failed to create a new scene before waking up.

How do you fly? What fails?

Flying is actually my dream stabilization technique... until I do not take an initial flight, dream is fuzzy and blurry... during flight is when I decided what I shall do. Shoot me a PM and let me know, I'll lend you a hand and get you to your moon without having the change the entire universe hehehe.

Create a barrier around you that sucks everything (besides you and whatever your walking on within 100 miles. Anything that gets sucked in increases miles by 50+. Report seeings.

Acquire unnatural flexibility and make the letter of your first initial with your HUMAN body.

become water and let a DC see you flying in the air as it.

Levitate towards a light in the sky and vanish while your family and friends see. Describe reactions.

P.S I never really had a vivid lucid dream so I don't know if it's advanced, special etc

add a magnetism affect to yourself but the magnets pull in DCs. Try flying once you have 30+ DCs

-Suck the color out of the world around you. Shuffle the colors like a deck of cards and send them back. What does the world look like now?

-There's an invisible rope in front of you. When you grab it, it will pull you somewhere. What do you find?

-Make the stars of the night sky fall down. Find one of them. Is it a person, a power-up or something else?

Ask a DC to tell you a short story.

-Everyone can move forward or backwards through time, but what about the other directions? Move perpendicular in time.

Find a poster on a wall with image of another city or even planet and climb in it. Optional - If you can, ask a DC what is that place called. It doesn't have to be a random place. You can chose a place beforehand.



While lucid, recall your name, where your sleeping body is in waking life, where do you live, work or go to school at, and where did you grow up. What else can you recall? Recall as much as you can.

( I did this in this morning's lucid as I always wanted to do this. It gave me surprising boost in my confidence and it actually helped me remember that I'm dreaming and keep my awareness longer. I did this a couple of times throughout this LD and it felt awesome. I want to see how much more I can remember from my WL and how it improves my awareness and recall)

Make a storm, with rain, wind, thunder and lightning.

Find a rope hanging from the skies. Grab it and get yourself pulled up to the space. A space ship will be dragging you behind it. Vacuum surfing, haha. If you are more advanced, you can just straight up find a space ship and get it drag you behind it.

That's a clever idea - testing the laws of maths and physics. We know they don't apply, only your intention does but the results would be interesting.

Ooooooooooh my. This reminds me of a super lucid I have. Inception five layers that someone challanged me. In the fifth layer the moon shifted colors, one of them was a beautiful blue, something out of this world. It was so pretty that it was my demise in that reading, turning the moon black after and being sucked in... I still remember that moon very well... can't replicate its blue color/shine, etc ...

To make it a bit easier for voting and suggestions, I've updated the suggestion lists and cleaned up some of the duplicated, complicated, or culturally outdated (e.g. attend the 2016 presidential election) suggestions, and the list of previous TOTMs. I'll try my best to keep them up to date each month.

Turn into a different state of matter (Liquid, gas, non-Newtonian liquid (A more stable liquid)). Either through hopping into a pod and having it 'transform' you into one of those states, or through some other means (Maybe a genie, perhaps?).
