Who here prefers which and why?
Voted both. Because I can.
I bought stock in firefox.
You will do the same if you know what is good for you.
People still use that terrible browser with security breaches?
Is this a joke?
i'm waiting for the aol vs. verizon fios poll next.
Why is there no Chrome or Safari?
I use cURL :P
I agree with Ninja. Where is Chrome? I selected Firefox but I'd choose Chrome over Firefox in a heartbeat.
Google Chrome all the way.
ok, i can't change the poll but how is Google Chrome better?
Of those two, I prefer Opera.
Marvo's correct.
i'll have to try this google Chrome of which Marvo and ninja speak of
Yeah, Firefox 3.5 actually loads slower than IE8 on my work computer.
I selected "Not IE" :)
As a developer, I speak with a lot of high quality web devs, and the common theme seems to be: "For any given project, the first 90% of the work is to get it right, up to standards, performing, and ready to ship... and the second 90% of the work is to get it working with fucking IE!"
LiveTechnology has a similar saying. Most of what we do is JS. I'm currently working on a plugin in C++. It'll be cake to do it for Firefox, creating the ActiveX for IE is going to be HELL.
Firefox, the add-ons and themes are awesome.
Chrome is definitely the fastest for me. I used to use Opera before Chrome came out, because it was faster than FF.
I've played around with Chrome and Firefox, judged them both in an objective light, and came to this conclusion:
Firefox wins, hands down. Also, IE sucks balls. Only internet noobs and people who like being hacked use IE. Utter crapola. It opens up faster, which is the only (and I mean only) thing it has going for it.
The vast array of add-ons for FF trump Chrome alone. People keep bitching about the speed, but I have noticed no real difference between the two. True, Chrome opens up a bit faster than FF, but it isn't that big a deal, as it only happens once per browsing session. Opera isn't all that fabulous, either. It's okay, but not brilliant. Speed Dial was the best feature it had, and guess what, that's now available on FF, too. Haven't tried Safari yet, but I doubt that one stacks up any better. The user-friendliness of FF also makes it a good choice.
