Is it easier to WILD if I don't have a sleep pattern at all? And is it easier to WBTB if I do have a sleep pattern?

Don't take me as an expert on this, this is just my hypothesis. Scrambling your sleep schedule might make you have more spurts of REM sleep, but the quality will be poor. But for WBTB, you want a steady sleep schedule (and it's healthier anyway). In WBTB, you need to time your wake-up time to before or during an REM period. A steady sleep schedule lets you fine-tune when the best time for that is.
