First, the basics. I'm a seventeen-year-old girl, Myers-Briggs type INFP.
My interests are anime, videogames, computer-based activities, sci-fi, fantasy, writing, art, cosplay, and the culinary arts. I am also about to take my first steps into amateur filmmaking. (Translation from L33tish into English: L33t's about to buy a camcorder.)
I have the... usual... reasons for wishing to learn how to LD. Adventure, problem-solving, building confidence. (It'd also be cool to do films based on my dreams.)
My attempts so far have been... unsuccessful... to say the least. I usually spend most of the day thinking, "Okay, this time, I'm gonna do it. If I see an unusual animal, I have to be dreaming." But by the time I get around to actually sleeping, I've forgotten all about it. I also tend to have problems falling asleep quickly (Mostly because I can never get comfortable).
As for techniques, I've been mostly attempting ones that require just the mind. I do not have the budget for expensive aids, nor do I have the RAM for downloading programs. Also, my dinosaur of a Windows cannot burn CDs.
I'm trying to work on improving my recall, and I should have an easier time with it now that it's summer break and I can record without having to worry about being late for school. (The other great thing about summer break is that I can follow my favorite sleep schedule more often... bed at 10:30 PM, awake somewhere between 9 and 11 AM.)
----------
I have just a few basic requirements for my adopter:
I would like someone who is experienced, good at problem-solving, and easy to talk to.
----------
I didn't really mean to spend that much time describing... sorry for making you read all that...
