      Hmph.

      Well..

I'm glad to see a section for poetry.. anyways, without getting to into it, I will put my two favorites at your disposal.

      Statue

      The statue cried somber blood
It burned the crows resting at its feet
And they flew away, with a trail of smoke

      The injured boy ran
      And leaped off the cliff
To fall into a devoid dream

The roads are paved in ice
The parade walks over the frozen corpse
      Each step boring holes

Suicidal winds crawl through the city
The city is sinking into the festering worms below
      And the rain falls

The statue remains in the ghost city
Surrounded by ruins and flaming homes
Waiting to be torn down by a hoard of crows

      -------------------------------------------------------

      Crying Hearts Make Eyes Blind

      Tears soak a bloody rag
      On a tender homes basement
The weeper blinded to the caring hearts

      Fingers, reaching to the light
      Scarred by sleeping thoughts
Plunging into the bottom of a well
      Full of suicidal notes

How to live in a burning house
      With burning children vommiting dust
The caring hearts bonded with barbed wire

The weeper declines the free wine
      The weeper neglects love
The weepers tears boil their eyes

      -------------------------------------------------------

      Hope I've been enlightening..

Decided to add this one, for your reading pleasure.

      --------------------------------------------------------------------------
      Buried in Desolate Rain

A joyous city full of love
Holds a basement full of pain
Small beams of mocking light crack into the room
      Inside, alone and cold
      Strapped in a poisoned cage,
      in a poisoned straight jacket,
      dying of hunger.
      Bountiful fruits outside the cage
      Protected by electric bars
      Lonely tears fall

      Suffering and eating off ashes
      Struggling to dream
      Happy bridges collapsing
      Stranded in a dying forest
      Living off rotten fruit
      Full of worms
      Sickly and diseased
      Comfortable in a tender grave
      Left with a hateful mirror
      Lonely tears fall
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------

      Hope I've been enlightening

Why do I always seem to hear sad and depressing poems on forums? Its come to a point where I question their actual value. I'm not saying that these poems have no meaning, because I'm sure that they mean something to you, but they've become so cliche. Sorry if this offends anyone.

Well, think of it this way: Would you rather read a happy poem about some asshole in love or something? I wouldn't. Screw love, man. There's little emotion in most happy poetry (other than happiness, which I can't let myself believe really exists). Poetry is a very personal thing. It's raw, uncensored, unconditional emotion. It comes from a split second in your soul and makes its way to the paper. It may not be something that you believe in, or even something that you feel for more than a second, but it's a valid emotion and poetry is a great outlet.

You won't see my poetry up here (or anywhere else) for that reason... it's very raw and would scare, offend, and probably hurt you all. It's already gotten me into enough trouble with the people I love. So no more sharing for me. My poetry stays in the depths of my hard drive, thus you don't ever have to read my dark, cliched words. I admire those who can share their words with the world, no matter how dark or depressing. It takes a lot of balls to show the world such a privately creative side of your mind, whether the poem is personal to you or not.

Life sucks. Love sucks even more. Happiness sucks as much as love because those two bastards usually go hand in hand. Hope is the biggest sucker of them all. Welcome to human existance. Sorry if it's become cliche, but that's life, and it's gotten to the point where I question the value of life everyday.

And no, I'm not offended. It takes way more than that to offend me.
