Thanks for the kind feedback, Ophelia. I sort of thought of the girl with the craters as being Micheal Jackson lol! But I wasn't trying to be gross when I drew all that stuff as Ian seems to be; it just sort of turned out that way (except for in a couple of cases, where I wanted the characters to look odd). I never know how my drawings will turn out, and that is what makes doodling fun for me. Really seeing Ian's website makes me realize how much more fun it is to doodle bizarre things than to look at bizarre things.
I never thought of doing real time doodlewars; that sounds like fun. Of course I could imagine it getting out of hand, with you poking each other's hands with pens and tearing the paper and stuff . But I did once play a game where we drew spaceships and had them fight each other in imaginary battles -- I usually won (so that means my friend was more polite than me , but really I think I am more polite now than what I used to be).
Here are a couple of old paintings I found in my closet. I used to paint a lot when I was in high school, but I haven't picked up a paintbrush in about four years. I really enjoyed painting. It kind of makes me sad looking at these because I don't really do any art anymore. It was quite enjoyable. I would like to be an artist, but I decided not to be one because I was afraid it would be too hard to find work, but sometime I wonder if I made a mistake...
Those are small oil paintings.
