I'm pretty sure this should go here since it is a short story, though it's about the adventures of a person who gets interested in lucid dreaming.

PS: I'm sorry, the spaces wont work at the beginnings of my paragraphs.
I aplogize if it is hard to read that way!

Sleep has got to be one of the most peaceful experiences a human can endure. The mind slowly gets ready to rest as the body turns limp. The thoughts are slow and innocent as the breathing slows. The eyelids sink into the floor as the iris starts to slowly shake, startling your brain. However, it doesn’t stop the images from forming. They still swirl and take effect. You can hear your heart beating in your ears as your nose twitches and sniffles. The peace is ruined, but the warm blanket of comfort folds over you still. Pictures come into your mind of what happened before you lay down in your lumpy mattress. You weren’t doing anything exciting, so your mind decides to make it comforting. You’re now sunbathing in the warm sun. The folding chair feels like fur wrapping around your body. As you look up at the sky, you notice it is dark out. ‘How could the sun be up and it be dark?’ Your jumbled mind struggles to think correctly. You didn’t care much for the soothing warmth or fuzziness around you. Your brain starts to twitch as you get up from your chair. You become excited and curious as to why everything is so different. Everything turns from crystal clear to blurry. You feel a force pull you backwards as you jump up and see your bedroom in front of you.
You let out a relieved sigh. ‘Just a dream,’ you close your eyes for a moment, letting your heartbeat return to the normal pace. You turn to the table next to your twin bed and grab the plastic cup. You shove an end to your mouth as you let the warm water slide down your dry throat. You set it back down as you roll your shoulders. ‘I must have slept in a funny position,’ you think, trying to rub away the soreness in your neck. You struggle to lean over your bed and grab your cell phone. You press a side button. A bright light burned your eyes as you read the time. ’89:63?’ You think, confused. ‘That’s not a real time! My phone must be broken again,’ you wait for the light to turn off before pressing the button once more. ’12:90! It MUST be broken if the time keeps changing!’ You feel yourself grow annoyed. You grab an unfamiliar flashlight underneath your nightstand as you stand up and flash it on the hanging clock that lay only a few feet away. The hands were missing!
‘What is going on?’ Your mind panicked as you step out of your room. ‘This isn’t my house!’ Your eyes widen as you notice that you stepped into your work office instead. You look down. ‘Where are my feet?’ You pay no attention to anything else. You walk ahead, saying hello to your coworkers as you make your way to your boss’ room. You open a door and find a bathroom. ‘I suppose I should check myself out,’ you step in front of a mirror. You feel confused as it showed a wall. You put your finger up to it as a tingly feeling made your limb feel like the circulation was getting cut off. You shrug as you step away from the bathroom. You go back into your bedroom and try to turn on the light. ‘Where’s that stupid light switch?’ You ask yourself, feeling along the bare wall. You look on the floor and spot a rusted lever.
“Gotcha!” You say as you pull it hard. Nothing happened. “Work, dang you!” You feel angry as you kick the lever. The light bulb flickered. ‘Oh! The light’s out!’ You realize silently. Your body seemed to be on speed as you walked quickly up to it and stared at the problem. It took you only a second to realize that the light bulb was just a bare bulb! There was nothing inside it. You lose interest quickly as you walk over to your bed. ‘Today was a weird day,’ you think quietly as you climb in the sheets.
You sit up in your bed once more. ‘What the…-,’ you find yourself thinking. You squint at the other end. Your door was closed; the light switch was on the wall… Everything was normal. ‘Was that a dream?’ You wonder. You look at your window and notice the sunlight peaking through the holes in the curtains. You decide to get up and open them, releasing a golden flood of light from the silky prison.
You smile as you stare outside. The neighborhood was the same as when you went to bed. You turned your head to the clock on the wall. ‘8:43. Good to see a normal clock,’ you find yourself regretting the dream you had. The more you thought of it, the scarier the idea came. You have just come back from an adventure like no other. You have just come back from a world you have never thought to explore...
