      Tattoo question

I've thought of getting a tattoo. Not really seriously because in a month or so I'd probly regret it and I'd more than likely be allergic to the ink

Seriously though, I'd seen that Miami Ink show and my bro has tats I like tats on others especially if they are more like art than just something stupid. BUT, I have yet to see a woman who doesn't give the impression of an unwashed slut who has tattoos and I think that is the main reason I do not get one, even a small one.

I don't want someone to see the tattoo and then think I am part of that wierd culture because I do not do drugs, drink alcoholic beverages, smoke, listen to 'death metal', or want a snake tounge. I do like black and cemetery sculpture, but I think that is all that I might have in common with the kind of people I've seen on Miami Ink, you know?

Still though, I got a great idea. Might be better as just a painting or drawing or whatever. No pain or potential skin problems.

Do any of you have tattoos? Do you know of anyone who has a tattoo and doesn't look all wierd like that female tattoo artist on that Miami Ink show?

Show pictures of your tats if you like, just not anything else personal. Like if you got a tat on your boobage then just show the tat and crop the boobage. This is a family thread people.

      Thank You.

don't get a tattoo just because you like them (my opinion)

i think those tattoo shows really suck... at least once every episode you get some tool saying "i want to get this coy fish because my grandfather died in a car crash... and he would totally dig it" ...

get one if it's going to be a solid part of your life... my point... i would consider getting my family crest... i would consider getting the birth-death dates of my loved ones... i would consider putting my own art work on me... but i would not go to a tattoo shop and ask them to construct something that's going to stain my body for my lifetime.

      just think about it.

I have a tattoo on my leg, it's a Murcury foot (the track symbol,) I've been running all my life though so I doubt that I'll regret it ever. I know lots of girls that have tattoos, mostly on their lower back.

Thank You for the reply, both of you. Yeah, you are right. I should really consider the tat and all that.

And yes, those ankle bracelett charm type of tats are cute, but hardly seems worth the effort unless it is something special like your mercury thing.

Oh, and I'd like to apologize if I offended anyone. I am sure I did but I had to be blunt and ask the question and I did not know a nice way to ask it. I think the girl on Miami Ink is a talented tatooer and I loved that portrait she did of this guy's daughter on his arm. Was so cute. And I do not think badly of her because of her tats and style, I feel that as long as you are a good person you can tat or dress wierd or whatever, doesn't mean you are a bad person.

I just particularly do not want to be that way. Or maybe I do and I am afraid or not young enough who knows.

Sorry. I'll try to be nicer. And another thing, I'd be the first to say anyone has the right to dress wierd even if I didn't like it myself. FREEDOM.

      Peace.
