You need to work a lot on your proportions.

Proportions? What do you mean?

Look at the size of the head compared to the body. It's at least as big, if not a fair bit bigger. The shape of the body is off, as well. And would I be wrong in assuming that you used the old "hands behind the back so I didn't have to draw them" trick?

I can't draw worth a crap, but it looks like she has 2 pupils in each eye. what is that? vAnd the cat thing creeps me out...

I guess you're right about that...except the hands behind the back thing didn't occur to me until now...I can draw hands and would have but I didn't.

really depends though.
most "cartoon" anime drawings, have big heads.
i think the only proportion issue here, is with the neck, mouth, and a small section of the bottom of the picture with her legs.

i like the picture, and i think it would look good in colour (digital colour), as it would give an anime feel instead of a sketchy one.

Sure their heads tend to be big, but not that big. I find it strange that you cite anime, since as far as cartoon styles go, anime is one that usually sticks fairly close to realistic human proportions. At least much closer than a lot of other cartoon styles do.

Oh yeah I see what your talking about...that never really occured to me before. I might beable to work some magic in photoshop and try to fix it.

yer i know, but that's why i tried to emphasize the word "cartoon", can't really explain what i meant, but, like, more towards cartoon rather than just anime.
