I traced a drawing and edited it in photoshop

That's right...I traced a picture.

Anyway, I took a picture of Nyu and traced over it. I made a shirt, pants, and whatever with pencil, and then outlined everything in photoshop (took a long time). I still have one more to do. But the pants will need some serious editing done.

The 2 on the left are the photoshoped ones and the one on the right is the drawn one.

As you can see, she doesn't have a head. The only reason the second one has a head is because it's just he back of her head (and it was easy to trace

). And she doesn't have hands because I suck at drawing hands.

She has pink hair, black cat ears and tail, orange and green striped shirt, blue jeans(darker?), red eyes(can't see them-no head), and some shoes which I haven't made yet...

As you can see, she is supposed to have pockets and a chain on her left side. I haven't gotten around to making those in photoshop yet.

And she does have a name.

Her name is Ichigo Chidori (NOT after Bleach. It's made up after Tokyo Mew Mew and Full Metal Panic. 2 girls names for a girl character). There's a huge story behind her but I don't feel like explaining everything but I will say she's been with me for a very long time.

Tracing is easy, if you know how to use Photoshop the 1337 way

What mouse do you have? My logitech MX500 is a dream for Photoshop!

I just have some COMPAQ mouse...it only has a mousewheel and 2 buttons...well 3 if you count pressing on the mouse wheel.

Can anyone give me tips on making shoes? That's something I would like to get done.

I know...I do need to add some more detail to them. I'm working on the far right one right now.

Edit: Update, added the third picture

Edit: Update #2! I got the head and hair and hands! Now I just need to outline them and make the hair look better and add some shoes. I also forgot to add the ears.

I also need to make my own eyes. Those are only temporary.

lol i should have been more helpful. in ur first post, from the side, she clearly has boobs. from the front view, though, the shadow makes her chest look flat. moving the shadow to below her boob area will give the illusion of boobs. what i mean is, put the shading in more strategic places rather than randomly over the plane of her torso. use the shadow to shape her body rather than shape the shirt's fabric.

i like the vibrancy of the colors.

Isn't there a way you can get the programme to recognise edges? That's a shame. This is something I'd like to do because I only recently started drawing anime by hand but doing it on the computer is another thing. Like what's been said the shading could have been more strategic but you've done a better job than I could, I know nothing about that stuff! The head and hair could do with thicker outlines in my opinion but you might have tried that already. Otherwise the pictures are awesome!

I'm able to draw a head shape pretty easily. I still have to work on heads at an angle and then putting on faces. The body is something I am going to need lots of work on...
