      Firefly Etudes (piano)

Here is a set of five etudes I've been working on for a few months. The mp3 is the complete set as one file (<7 minutes), and the pdf file is included for your printout for performance or study if desired.

      Firefly Etudes
      Audio - mp3
      Sheet Music - pdf

Each of these tiny works has its own little set of performance problems to resolve, and are actually just a tad too difficult for me to perform without a lot of practice.

      Hope you like them.

Wow, very nice. It creates a unique mood. I could only image playing that song, let alone writing it. What software did you use? I've been looking for efficient music writing software for a while.

Also, did you make these for a certain reason or just for your own and others' entertainment?

      Hi Venom,

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it.

I use Sonar for all of my sequencing. The piano is the new Garritan Authorized Steinway library. The score was prepared in Sibelius.

These are all fairly expensive products, but they're more than I would really need for something this small. If you're looking for a good sequencer, there is also a Sonar Home Studio which is a smaller version at a very cheap price.

I've been writing music for about 30 years, and have many compositions, including a large number for full orchestra and other ensembles. Recently I completed an orchestral suite that I posted in this thread: Music: The Cornell Boxes (complete).

If you're curious about what else I've done, visit my web page, linked in my signature.

      Thanks again!
