I find myself in a dilemma: I have literally dozens of ideas that I want to put into comic/art form, but limited skills to actually convey these ideas onto paper. I'm decent with a pencil, but if I wanted to do the drawing myself I would only do a half-assed job (which is not at all what I want to do). Rather than hold my ideas off for more time than needed, I feel I can get my story across better if I work with another person.
Working with someone else would also help me refine actions/plot/etc. and see some close feedback to what we're doing. Cooperation for the greater good (ie, you suggest I rework something in my story, I suggest you change the lighting/facial expression in one scene, etc., etc.). If you're interested, show me some of your natural stuff and I'll post one of my ships/people and see how you interpret/draw it yourself.
The story is a sci-fi/political introspect kind of thing. A such, you should be decent in drawing people in many expressions (Even alien people that aren't quite the normal human mold) and also making ships fire weapons that actually fire acurately (to an extent; over-dramatization makes battles in movies and the like more fun to watch). There will be scenes shifting in and out of spacecraft (from the bridge to the unbearable chaos of the engineering room, to a presidential suite and senate room...and baren warzones featuring army-to-army combat with land weapons), so try to have interesting backgrounds.
I'm not just looking for an artist here: I'm looking for someone who's friendly, and who I can joke around with. You aren't a tool, you're a person, an I believe you should be treated as such.
[Note: I won't get into setting up a site at this point, I want to see people's art here, and what personalities I will be working with. ]
If you're a person that's friendly and likes science and art (meaning you're interested, just post here or email me if you want), and doesn't have to bad of a schedule, just post here.
