Thread: Anyone bored? Want to create a logo?

Hey guys,

I know there's a lot of talented people on here, and some with spare time to play around with so thought I'd post in here.

My Dad is setting up his own business, after being made redundant from the company he ran for the past 16 years. However it's a brand new company (although he'll be taking most of his existing clients with him) so need a strong brand and logo. Unfortunately my Dad being the guy he is didn't really think about the name of the company logically when he registered it.

Basically I've set up a number of stationary templates for him, working on a website now, but need a good brand/logo that is memorable, and people who see it will remember it and who it belongs to.

Unfortunately as I eluded to earlier the name of the company is awkward for a logo which means I think a simple image with the text under would work better I think. The company name is 'Driving Solutions (southern) Ltd'.

If anyone has any spare time or they're feeling creative could you have a go at knocking up a logo or something for me? I've a few I've done already in Photoshop, but just trying to get something that automatically hits you and you know it's right if you know what I mean?

Background information. The company is a driving agency, they employ drivers for other companies, for example, Tesco might need a driver to deliver produce from a warehouse to stores, so my dads company arranges the drivers to do the work, pretty simple really.

Anyway, if you could try that would be awesome, any other questions let me know

I might give it a shot if I have some spare time; I'm sick as a dog right now anyway, so I'm not going to be doing much else after work.

But to make sure I've got it right; the company subcontracts/hires delivery truck drivers for grocery stores, department stores, that sort of thing? I'm guessing your dad's company handles dispatching and load assignment and such as well?

Correct? Just making sure that lack of capitalization on the "(southern)" was accidental and not intentional.

I'll try to see what I can come up with over the weekend, but obviously, anyone else that wants to should as well. I'm sure the more you have to choose from, the better. Also, if you need any help with the website, let me know.

Hello mate, thanks for the reply. Unsure if they handle the assignments too, I wouldn't have thought so to be honest. I think they're just told a time and place to be at point A and the same for point B.

As for southern, hmmm.. Se did it without a capital, so assume it's not a mistake but I will check with him.

Ah, sorry I haven't been able to get something up yet, I did start on one idea, but I've been so busy lately I've not had time to do much with it. Not seeing this leting up anytime too soon, sorry.
