I am at a loss for words, but not because they are in short supply.
Only because I must somehow try, to apply c $Ymb0L$ to my vast feelings…
to cast revealing images upon your imagination, attempt duplication of unkempt sensation…
Emotions are fluid, we each contain our own river…
I’ve shown you its current but can you ever feel the depths?
Can you swim through my tide, and reside beside the flow of my heart…depart from gathered expectations, come apart from meanings, and connotations.
These words are merely simulations, meager demonstrations compared to the thought in its quintessential condition…
Never the embodiment of my minds emissions…..but our cognition forms for us these preconceived notions.
Altering our ability to ever truly understand emotions……you only comprehend this because you have assigned these words function.
It takes a true artist to transcend this conjunction……

And there entitles the existence of poetry... For every word in a poem is carefully picked to transcribe the exact feeling the auther wants to portray. In no other literary works are words so heavy, so deep. Your words bring to mind a poem I once wrote about how poems are so very close to living, but not so because they are, as you put it, just "colorless $ymbol$" that "you have assigned ... function." But anyway here it is.

      Just a poem nothing more
The wasting breath from my lips
All to be forgotten like the wind
But unlike the wind, it stirs nothing

      Just another thought
      Just another dream
      Just another tear

All in it's passing grace never pausing
Waiting for it's chance for life
      But always coming short
      And always wanting more

Exactly..... which is why I tried to write about that instead of the real feeling.... I couldn't even begin to grasp it.....

I like the poem you shared.... very apt to what I was describing in mine.... funny how our words can be so fleeting and meaningless compared to the real feeling... but the act of writing those feelings makes them permanent.... permanent through a form which cannot possibly represent them accurately..... it's a shame...

      Thanks for the reply
