When I dream, theres always a
little girl playing in the dirt, that
turns to me and says "Why are
you here? .... Are you blind like
me?"
What I've found
What I've known
Never shined to me what I've shown
Never be
Never free
I wish to see what might have been...
...So I talk to you unbeliever.
I walk in the rain. 1111
My father has been to Nashville once, he said it was pretty boring (in fact, he said it reminded him of Saskatchewan ). Anyways, there must be some good watering holes over there, hope you're into country music too... |

Thanks for responding. I was getting tired of hearing the crickets chirpping merrily away in this thread. |

Too bad you won't be coming down into Georgia, Vex. This Vexes me. |

I live in a state that borders Tennessee, and I have only seen Nashville when driving through it and once when I went to Opryland and spent the night. Unfortunately, Opryland no longer exists, so I can't tell you that much about Nashville. It is of course the "country music capital". Major recording studios are there, and The Grand Ole Opry, which is a legendary country concert place where all of the big country music legends have played, is in Nashville. One other thing I know is that Nashville is not as country music oriented as it might appear from the media. The only time you see anything about Nashville in the media is when it has something to do with country music, but Nashville is much more or a regular city than that. It seemed to me like just another beautiful big city in the American South, but people who have lived there tell me that it is much cleaner and less crime-ridden than cities like New Orleans, Memphis, and Atlanta. The morning I left, my family went to some cool looking lake and played on a rope swing. I haven't been to Nashville since 1983 even though I am just a few hours down the Natchez Trace from it, so that's about all I can tell you. |

How do you know you are not dreaming right now?
Sorry MoS, I'll be hitching a ride the Nahsville so I can't just up and go where ever I want. I'd be afraid to visit you and all your sharp and shiney knives anyway. |
|
Aw, no need to be afraid of lil' ol' me! |
|
Thanks, Man of Steel. |

Nashville is twinned with Belfast in one of the most mismatched city-twinning exercises ever. |

NO
I couldn't find a video of a drive through Nashville during the day, but here is a video of a midnight ride. |
