I met my wife because I was trying to quit smoking. Really. When I was in junior college, I kept trying to quit cigarettes. By the time evening break would roll around, I was often out trying to bum a cig. While doing so, I met an intriguing lady who always offered a cigarette, and I ultimately became good friends with her. (Sadly, she's gone now. She was a tough little gal with a heart of gold.) Through no fault of her own, (and to her initial horror,) I ended up meeting her older daughter. We actually met on the phone; I was pretty much head-over-heels before I ever saw her face. So when the kids talk about how bad smoking is, I remind them that they wouldn't exist if it weren't for my smoking.

I was 19 and waiting tables at a restaurant near my university. This tall blonde guy and his dark-haired friend came in a couple times a week around lunchtime, and I always had to wait on them. I could tell the dark-haired guy was flirting with me a lot, but the blonde one was just friendly and cute, not flirting much at all, just asked questions about myself. After a couple weeks of seeing them in the restaurant, they asked me if I wanted to go to the mall - because I needed a winter coat and they didn't have anything better to do that day, I guess. So I agreed, and meanwhile the dark-haired guy kept following me around and talking to me, the blonde one was quieter but I seemed to have more in common with him. After I bought my coat, when went back to the car, and the blonde one asked if I wanted to catch a movie later that night. I agreed, because we seemed to have some sort of connection. We saw Meet The Parents with Ben Stiller that night at the theater and have been together ever since. Apparently the dark-haired friend was a little mad that even after all his efforts, the blonde one got me instead, lol. Just goes to show to not come off too strong!

I'm single, but I met my last girlfriend at work. It was a Friday, meaning I was working overtime, and I had to work in a different area. I ended up working near her and I thought she was pretty cute, but what I noticed even more was that she was wearing an Invader Zim shirt and a Star Wars zip-up sweatshirt over it. The first thing I said to her was, "Nice, you're wearing an Invader Zim shirt and a Star Wars sweatshirt!" She just said, "Heh or "Yeah" and walked off. We talked a little bit here and there about movies and such. When break came, I went and sat next to her. She seemed to think that was a little weird, but didn't seem to mind it. It turned out that she had gone to school with my best friend and I asked for her number so we could all 3 hang out sometime. She gave it to me and asked for mine. My friend couldn't hang out the next day, so we just went together. We've seen eachother everyday since then and I asked her out exactly a week later. I was almost 100% sure she would say "yes" because I could tell she liked me. That lasted almost 6 months.

I just graduated high school last school year. I find that going to high school parties where the girls are still in high school along with most of the other kids, has the best potential for me getting laid. So far, 100% success... Can't have sex for 2 weeks due to surgery though.

The woman I've been with for 5+ years I met at work. No fantastic story or anything, although we moved in together about 2 weeks from the first day we met, so that's kind of odd in most peoples opinions. I plead my fifth amendment rights on where I met any former romantic interest, however I will say it was always at the same adult novelty shop. Can't have sex for 2 weeks due to surgery though. Don't worry, it'll grow back.
