Tell Me About the Jewelry You Wear

I seem to notice the jewelry people wear, men and woman alike. The number of rings they wear, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, piercings, etc. Some people wear the same jewelry every single day, and some people change it up depending on their outfit.

What is your favorite pieces jewelry, or style of jewelry, that you own and wear? Sentimental value? or just plain value $$

Feel free to post pics too.

I'll go first On a daily basis, I wear:

My wedding bands - 14K white gold, princess cut .75 caret diamond, with tension setting sapphires and channel-set diamond sidestones. The wedding band has round diamonds in a notched band. Just had my 2 year wedding anniversary on October 1st

Claddagh ring - sterling silver. Just got it at the Renaissance Festival this year. Here is more info about claddagh ring's if anyone is interested. Since I am married, I wear it facing inward, but on my right hand instead of my left.

Celtic knot necklace - sterling silver. Bought it online cuz I thought it was pretty As you can see, I love Celtic-style jewelry!

Fossil watch - I've had this watch for about 7 years now. Only had to replace the battery once. But the backlight is going out on it now too, so I hope they can repair it because I really love this watch and don't want to have to buy a new one!

I'm curious to hear about the jewelry you all wear and enjoy

      Nice!

I actually tend to stay away from jewellery, I'm too scared I might lose it or break it somehow.

I don't think I've even worn any earrings in months. If I didn't know better, I'd be scared that the holes close up. To be honest, I wouldn't really care if they did.

I wear a ring that my mother gave me last summer, but it's not exactly expensive, and I mostly do it because I want to get a tanline on my finger, haha.

Your wedding band is cool. I like the blue. Does that stand for something?
      (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!)
Thanks, Howie! The sapphires don't really stand for anything in particular. I just wanted a bit of color, to have something a little different, and I've always loved sapphires

It pinched in between the pumps. It was crazy. It would have smashed my finger in two. My hand is bruised and my finger in swollen. but I have a finger.
      I will take a pic.
Anyways, that is the only jewelry I wear.
~ And they said not to wear it at work... pphhhtt!
OMG! Thank god you are married!! and wear your ring to work! I guess it was one of those "meant to be" moments. Wow, that's frightening though - a lot of people get seriously injured in landscaping work, but I'm sure I don't have to tell you that!

I alvays vear earings that match vith the outfit. I love earings! most of the ones I vear arent really the valuable type since they dont have stones and stuff. They're the beaded type.

If I have a bracelet that goes vith vhat Im vearing, sure Ill vear it. If not, Ill just vear one of my valuable ones.

I don't really vear rings, unless its a special occasion. If it is, then I put on my valuable stuff. And I basically never vear necklaces for some reason.

      So yeah

Ill post pics later, vhen I get a hold of them.

Friendship ring- Sterling silver, bead in the spirally bit. Purchased at Saturday market in Portland with my group of best gals. We all purchased ones from the same place, with different styles and different coloured beads. I wear it on my right middle finger all the time, no exceptions.

Promise ring- Sterling silver with abalone inlay in the band (comfort fit). Given to me this summer by my boyfriend. Worn on the left hand, ring finger, all the time.

Partial hoops- Surgical steel with beads on the ends. Versital and simple for keeping my second ear piercings open and decorated. Worn all the time.

Full hoop- Surgical steel with steel ball in center. Original ring for my tregus, worn all the time so it doesn't close up.

Nose stud- Surgical steel with a white rhinestone. Newly purchased, will be worn until a better one is purchased.

Banana Bar- Black surgical steel with pink gems in the top and bottom balls. I have it in my belly button for now, until i buy another.

Then I have many sets of earrings that i match with my outfits. I also have rings and necklaces that are mostly dressy. I can't wear any of that jewlery for very long...I have an allergy to cheap metals.

Spike hoop earrings and a hoop with ball for the nipple piercing. Other than that I occasionally wear necklaces, but that's it.

Okay, I wear this ring literally 24/7. My dad got it for my mom many moons ago, and then I stole it.

I wore these in my hair very often in Russia, but I don't really in the States.. fashion is different..

      Hehe.

My fossil watch!! I love it SOOO MUCH. It's so gorgeous... especially in the sunlight when it sparkles with different colors. It was about $50, way more expensive than my usual $10 watches, but so worth it.

These earrings aren't my usual style (they are very small), but they were a gift and I am a sucker for earrings as gifts.

Awesome, Mes! I love the ring, very lovely! And I like your taste in necklaces and watches too Your Fossil watch is very nice, I like the band on it. I've always worn metal band watches rather than strap ones because I like it to feel like I'm wearing a loose bracelet.

Thank you!! Yeah I love that ring.. it's the kind of metal that you can clean with toothpaste to make it all shiny again. I need to do that soon.

Fossil is the best. I hope mine lasts as long as yours. There is a tiny screw that keeps coming out every now and then.. I've been lucky enough to not lose it and screw it back in, so far.

I have a necklace of sorts that I wear, its a memento a friend long gone. He had a gold coin that he constantly flipped around and played with using sleight of hand, and he left it for me to hold onto before he died.

      i'm not big on jewlery.

I've usually always got earrings in--studs, for the most part.
I've got a C-bell cartilage ring shoved through my ear.
      and a titanium ring.

If I am going out I will sometimes wear like rings, or necklace or something, but depends on what I am wearing when I go out though, one thing I cannot live without is my Nixon watch

Picture is a bit crappy but you get the idea, it's made with actual wood!!

My jewelry consists of a cheap sporty walmart digital watch and sometimes my class ring which is big and silver with a peridot stone that has a cz stone in a diamond shape right in the middle of the stone.

Wow what a treasure. I'm sure your friend would've wanted you to have it and you can keep it as a remembrance to him.

I've never seen a watch like that before! Looks like it would be hard to read, but supposed once you get used to it.. Really neat

Yeah it is hard to get used to - but once you do its easy enough, it is broken at the moment, the clock part doesn't work, but the light does so cant be the battery.

I can't not wear it though, I would miss it too much

I have a number of necklaces and earrings that are precious to me. I normally wear some set of earrings, depending on what colors I'm wearing. My mother gave me a necklace and earrings set inlaid with garnets that I am currently wearing. My former boyfriend gave me another set that has very dark sapphires in them.

I have a set that belonged to my grandmother and was given to me when she passed away. I wasn't very close to her, but I know that she was a wonderful woman, so I treasure them.

They don't really count as jewelery, but I have two pairs of hair sticks (one red, one black, same style) that one of my best friends gave me. Unfortunately my hair is now too short to wear them, so I'm putting them on hold until it grows out. They are also very precious to me. I also made a necklace/earrings set for that friend and made myself one to match, only in a different color. It's nothing professional, but I love them, too.

Sometimes I just wear jewelery because I'm in the mood to wear it, not necessarily because it matches what I'm wearing
