Well, if they're leeching benefits from the government and creating the need for endless government schemes designed to teach us all how to eat properly then it kinda is out problem. The fire-services here have to use their equipment to lift some of the more obese people up when they need to be moved into a hospital or whatever, which is such a waste of valuable services it's beyond belief. There are obese parents who can't look after their children properly. We sorta do need to do something.

Don't ever be mean, aggressive, inconsiderate, or hurtful in any other way to anybody who is not asking for it. Ever. That is the secret. You have to learn that you have no business whatsoever being mean to somebody who is undeserving of it no matter what kind of mood you are in and no matter what kind of impulse you have. It is your responsibility not to hurt the innocent. Also remember that sometimes you will be accused of being unjustifiably mean when you are not being that way. Learn to hold onto the fact that you are not being mean when you are not. That can be especially hard when you have a group of people ganging up on you and telling you you are out of line, but if you are not being out of line, stick to your guns and don't cave in with an apology you have no obligation to give. It's still okay to show some concern over the fact that they think otherwise, but don't let them hijack your mind. On top of that, let good people know that you care about them by communicating with positive body language and voice tone as well as doing something helpful or gift giving for them once in a while. Show signs that you are somebody they can talk to and that you are listening to what they say. EDIT: And don't be a clitoris or a breast nipple.
