      Tell me how to gain weight!

      I suffer from being skinny I eat really unhealthily and all fatty stuff yet I don't gain any weight. I must have a metabolism so fast you can't see it pass.

      I want to have a fairly decent wieght/build. I tried working out but that didn nothing.

      Does any one have any ideas that may work?

      Its the same with me. My doctor actually specifically told me I won't gain any weight or visible muscle until I stop growing and my metabolism slows down, which he said won't be for another few years(which he told me last year). He said it'd eventually slow down in the 18-20 range.

      Other than that I eat healthy, but also essentially the same as you, fatty foods, and LOTS of it. I'm 6'4" and only 130 pounds, all because of metabolism. I still work out and all, and it makes some difference but nothing noticeable. I expect this will change in the next few years as my doctor predicted, I'd assume it'd be the same in your situation.

      The key is to expand your stomach so that you require more food. Eating lots of sweets and chocolate usually helps.

      Also, snacking at night helps a lot. Eat like a ton of cake or what not.

      Never skip meals, add meals to your day.

      There is much you can do, but a good one is to eat at the wrong times. If you can make your stomach bigger you will require more intake of food which should hopefully make you a bit fatter.

      Funny thing is, i want the reverse to happen to me. *Gives NeAvO some of his fat*

      I play alot of football and i have always heard from my coach that eating late at night can help you gain weight. So if your out at like 1 in the morning or something give it a try, maybe it will work. I can't guarantee anything because i don't know the science behind it if there is any.

      Don't eat fatty food, eat healthy. Better to be skinny and defined then flabby. Go to a weight room and work out, it's the only way to gain muscle. It's slow going, but it works.

      Eat six or more meals a day instead of only three, and try to eat as many carbs as you can, so focus on eating a lot of bread and pasta based foods. This is what I have been advised anyway, as I'm in the same predicament, I really want to gain weight because I feel I'm too skinny, but I just can't. Alternatively to that, you can pickup weight-gainers at health stores, they can be very helpful as well.

      I would avoid eating tons of junk because of various health reasons. Maybe you could try going onto some bodybuilder sites and see what they do to get big. I would say eating alot of healthy food and lifting weights would be the best way. You say you tried working out, but how long did you do it and what did you do? Heavy weights and fewer reps would help put on some size. I find that with lifting weights you won't notice anything for the first little while and then even if you stop like almost a week later you will notice a difference for some reason. You definitely want to be putting on muscle and not fat though and thats accomplished with hard work rather than fatty foods.

      Get proteins. They sell those in every big market. It comes in a big bottle, like 3 kg or more. And than later when you got them...go to fitness and train. I use to do that but I need more motivation.

      Yeah I'm just gonna agree and say don't eat junk foods.

      It's okay if you're skinny. You're only like.. *temporarily forgets Neenee's age*... 17 or something? Yeah. No one expects a 17 year old to look perfect. Just wait a few years and it'll come naturally.

      i have this problem too im 6.1 and 160 lbs and i would like to be bigger. i eat alot of food and have 3 meals a day with snacks ,i live out in the country so i have steak almost everynight (my deer) along with potato's, veggies ect.
      i jog every day and eat alot--im in great shape but i want to weigh more!

      Eat right and work out the right way. Eating crap and putting on fat is not the answer unless you want to be a mess. That shit also affects your mind.

      If you were eating junk food (and even if you weren't) while working out you were wasting your time. Without the PROTEIN and CALORIES needed to facilitate muscle growth you aren't going to get anywhere.

      What kind of work out were you doing? Push ups ain't going to cut it. You need to get into a gym or invest in a weight set. Or maybe start lifting rocks.
      At least once every person should have to run for his life, to teach him that milk doesn't come from the market, safety doesn't come from policemen, and news isn't something that happens to other people.

      Protien and gym.

      I have the same problem as you, I can't put on fat it seems, but I can put on muscule. Get yourself some whey protien and hit the weights. They suck at first, but once you're used to lifting, it's great.

      Hrm, so otherwise wait a while or eat protein and stuff. Thanks guys! It's not that I want to be like a body builder or anything, hell I don't even need that much muscles. Just to be at an average size is good enough for me. So what are the names of protein shakes and stuff? I've heard of them but don't know what they're called?

      I'm actually the same way. I can eat all day, and do nothing, and never put on weight. I have a really fast metabolism, and I've tried slowing it down, but I don't actually know how. I'm just glad I'm not the only one. Hopefully mine will slow down too.

      I'm going to say keep working out. You'll get defined muscles and, regardless of weight, that's always good.

      I don't think you should worry too much about it. Many people would love to swap places with your "predicament". As for me, I know what you mean-- I weight 115 lbs. at 5'9".

      Im about in the same boat as you. Im 5'11 and 160 lb, which sounds good, until I realize all of that weight is in my leg and hip muscles... muscle, not fat. I really cant gain muscle or fat on my upper body, and working out didnt even give me 5lb after 6 months. Im only 19 though, so it will probably start happening.

      All I can say is dont go the unhealthy way, cause then when you are older it will be too hard to keep the pounds off!

      You wanna gain weight properly, work out and eat right. Don't eat shit, don't snack all the time, etc. etc. Once you gain fat cells they'll never turn back to normal. Sure, you can minimize the fat cells but they'll always be there.
