Tell Me About - House Music

I heard a bit today and yesterday (I don't know who/what or anything like that) but I really dug it, so tell me about some good introductory House Music.

Out of a huge A-Z list, these are the ones that have tracks that I could personally recommend. Now, I like house, to a point. After a while, I get tired of the "Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom" in succession. So, my favorite style of dance music is breakbeat. Progressive breaks, to be more specific, offer the same kind of vibe (melodically) as house and trance music, but they have really dope beats that branch out of the standard 4-beats-per-measure format that most house music has. Anyway, a lot of the DJ's listed do cross-over stuff. You'll find some house music by them, and some breakbeat music by them. It should be enough to get you started. I'll put my favorites in bold. Although i absolutely HATE house music, i have a couple of recommendations. Any of the Ministry Of Sound cd's. Stay away from the cd's with Hard NRG, Chillout, etc. Some good music to get you in though.
