      Tell Me How A Light Changing Hackey Sack Works

      I got this today at Terrapin Station, and I'm just looking at it right now and the color when it's lit is a light purple, but as soon and my view of it shifts -even a little bit - it will change to very sharp and bright Red, Blue, Green, Orange, and Purple.

      How the hell does this happen? If I have it sitting on the desk and wave my hand quickly over it back and forth where I would see my fingers are striped red, green, blue, orange, and purple again.
      When I even glance a different way, not even focusing on it it still changes to red, green, blue, orange, and purple.

      I'm gonna try and get a video up.

      But anyway, how does it work?

      (I know batteries, I mean the color change)



      Edit: I just made a sick fucking video on my cell phone, how do I get it on the computer? lol, I've never had to do this before. Samsung t...something slider, with T-mobile.

      It looks like it contains a red, a green and a blue LED which flashes quickly one at a time. When held still, the colors mix into purple. When moves quickly, each of the colored flashes can be seen independently. About the same effect as when waving a hand in from of a CRT monitor(the big, heavy, non-flat ones).

      No, cause for these pictures the ball was still the entire time...
      only my camera was moving.
      So it's 100% visual.

      Well that should also give exactly the same effect. What matters is that the ball and the camera moves in relative to each other. About the CRT monitor again ... it would give exactly the same effect if you waved the monitor behind your hand instead.
