I haven't watched the video yet cause I'm watching a movie on Sci-Fi, but I'll watch it later.
I, too, am a procrastinator. When I was a youth, I sometimes did act out of passive-agression. Now-a-days, I tend to procrastinate more out of a feeling of being over-whelmed. I'm a defeated perfectionist. It's illogical but often-times I put off doing things because I can't do it as perfectly as I wish so i'd rather not do it at all than fail.
When I was a youth, my school work suffered greatly because if my handwritting wasn't perfect, I would crumple the sheet and start all over again from scratch.
Perhaps you have a similar problem, DestFins?
I'm 34 years old and still suffer because of my own doing and not-doings lol It's not a habit that can be gotten out of easily. But realizing your triggers and reasons can help.
Make small goals for yourself. Instead of saying, for example, I'm going to get straight A's and bring up my scores, tell yourself instead to focus on your worse subject (or something similar). Make rewards for yourself... tell yourself you must study for an hour and only then can you get on the internet for an hour, then hit the books again and reward yourself again.
That system helps me the most. I use a timer to let myself know when to switch focus.
