Tell me about getting stright hair

Tell me how to get straight hair. I am Asian and a little African American. My mom has curly hair and my dad has straight so I have a little of curly and mostly straight.

My hair is already straight, it's just that the front of my hair and my sides would get curly. Also, when I take showers, hours later, it would puff up. I need ways to help my hair get straight so I can let it grow.

      What I can't do now:

      Perms
      Chemicals
Gel - I don't feel like doing it EVERY morning

My sister has a straighter so if you say I should use it I'll try too.

Yes My hair is really wavy but I have typical emo hair and the flat ironer or "your sisters straightener" it makes it completely straight.

Sorry, forgot to add this to the original post.

What I am asking is the best way to get straight hair forever (or for a long period of time). I want to grow my hair out to be straight instead of cutting it everytime.

I don't think you can permanently straighten it, you're going to have to do it every morning if you want it straight.

I have the same problem, my hair is wavy, and I'm too lazy to dry and straighten it every morning. It doesn't matter much anymore, since I keep it in a ponytail, and there's no point straightening that.

You can get it permanently straightened, just like you can get it permanently curled. But the problem is this affects your existing hair only, and won't change future hair growth. So, you'd have to keep re-doing these perms every once in a while.
