      Tell me about fixing earbuds

I have atleast 5 sets of earbud headphones that one of the earbuds does not work and the other does. It is annoying and I have looked online for ways to fix them with no luck. Help me out dreamviews.

This just happened to me with a rather expensive pair. I can only get one working by twisting and holding the wire. I think I'm going to pick up a new pair tonight.

Try warranty service. If they're anything but the cheapest of 'buds, it's worth it to give it a shot.

Other than that, if they're all the same type, it should be fairly easy. Take one pair apart by stripping the wires and tracing them down to the plug, get an idea of which wires are which, then get to splicing. Earbuds are made fairly simply, it shouldn't be too difficult.

Back when my left earplug broke, I just split it apart, cut the bad cable off and solded the cables back onto the plug. It's fairly simple, provided you have steady hands. You'll have to check which wires go where before you rip everything apart
