      Night alerts

My alarm went off the other night for my WBTB. When the alarm went off I realised that, for a good few minutes, I'd been having perfectly rational, logical thoughts about what jogging route I could take that would involve the least amount of roads to cross. If my alarm hadn't woken me then there's little doubt that these thoughts would've been forgotten by the morning.

This made me think about lucid dreams where you immediately - from the very start of the dream - know you're dreaming. Could these instant lucids occur when you've been thinking - while asleep - about lucid dreaming the very moment before you hit REM?

If this is the case then it could be an idea to change your affirmation/mantra when you go to bed. You could say something like, "I'll think about lucid dreaming all night." You could also set an alarm to beep on the hour, and when the alarm sounds your aim is to - in your sleep - just think about lucid dreaming. That way, the subject is in your mind when you go into your next REM.

      Thoughts?

My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.
