Help me on my radtacular magic journey!!!!

Yo G units ... I'll sum up what I've done so far in the quest to awaken.

      1) Read extensively on the net about LDing history, applications, induction methods. I also read "The Lucid Dreamer" by Malcolm Godwin
      2) Started a dream journal. I have brought my dream recall from 1 dream every month or so to 2-3 dreams a night.
      3) I'm trying self hypnosis to tell me entranced mind "next time I'm dreaming, I will recognize I'm dreaming, I will become lucid"
      4) Ordered Stephen LaBerge's EWLD.
      5) Last night I attempted WBTB in conjunction with MILD for the first time ... I failed
      6) I'm trying to find my personal dream signs but there don't seem to be any solid, reoccuring themes.
      7) I do reality checks with digital clocks on my PC and alarm clock and cell phone. (I don't wear a watch btw ... so is this pointless then?)
      7) I joined this wonderful forum

Does anyone have any advice as to what I should focus on??

      SAAANNNK YOU !!!

      Hello again Tron!

Well, it looks like you're off to a very good start. The first tip I usually give new people is to start a dream journal and read some of the tutorials, but it looks like you've already done that!

Mostly, I'd just say, don't give up on WBTB, MILD and especially WILD. They're very hard to master, but VERY worthwhile. Also, reality checks are great on digital clocks, since they mess up more frequently in dreams than analog clocks. Simply put, your mind doesn't know exactly how the clock works, so it can't reproduce it perfectly without focusing. That's why they do weird things in dreams, and hence make good dream-signs for reality checks. Digital clocks are perfect for this since they're more complex than analog clocks, so they still do funny things in dreams. Keep up the good work and check back anytime you have a question!

Try to remember if you fell asleep. Works for me 99.9999999999 percent of the time.

Wait...What?! That made no Sense...To me anyway.

Do the above to achieve what? Lucidity?

I tried that last night! ... I couldnt do it though. I didnt even get to the first stage (hypnogogic imagery). Whenever I try something like that my mind wanders. And even when Im sure its not wandering it doesnt work. I'll also get body itches / dry mouth which distracts me.

That's the hard part of WILDS.. I think it's ok if your mind wanders as long as every so often you bring it back to lucid dreaming (i.e., ask if you are dreaming or state \"I am dreaming.. this is all a dream\").

To help keep your mind on mundane things instead of things that will keep you awake.. try counting \"1-I'm dreaming, 2-I'm dreaming, etc.\" or I use what I call the alphabet method. I'll think of the letter \"a\", then picture my picking an apple from a tree (or simply picture an apple), think of the letter \"b\", then picture a balloon floating on the wind (or simply picture a balloon), etc. until \"z\" and then start at \"a\" again picturing something different.

This happens frequently as well. I normally try to ignore them or direct my attention elsewhere (see above).. but sometimes ya just gotta scratch !
